“I booked a room for 3 nights, paid in advance, checked in Aug. 28th, checked out Aug. 29th, went up the street and stayed at The Golden Nugget (very nice hotel). Fitzgeralds is a horrible place, the mattress was like sleeping on a piece of plywood, both shoulders were sore next morning, got very little sleep. TV was lousy. Spoke with Mgr. at front desk about a room upgrade, which I would have gladly paid for, was told there was nothing available. He offered to change my room, when I asked if the bed would be any different he did not know, I asked if I could look at another room, he said yes, could tell he did not like it, definitely an attitude. I told him never mind and moved to the GN. I ate at the Shamrock Cafe in Fitzgeralds that first night, the Shrimp dinner was $10.95, the Shrimp was about the same as frozen shrimp from the grocery store, baked potato was so overcooked i barely ate any, the vegetables were straight out of a can, the rolls were heated in microwave and were like rubber. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. ”
