“The water from the tap smelled badly and got my wife and my father sick on the first day. We got a room on the smoking floor even though we requested a non-smoking one. The entire floor smelled like a dive hole at the end of the night. The beds made our hair smell and the room made even our luggage smell. The place was run down. The carpet was falling apart and they stapled it down at certain points. I found these staples when one almost went into my foot! The beds were supposed to be sleep number, but of course that did not work. So we had to choose between a very soft side and a rock hard side which made my back ache the next morning.”

“OK for business travelers. Easy access to freeway. Check about free wifi and internet. I was late in/out and did not attempt to use. Nice comfortable room and work area.”

“The hotel was pleasant for the price. The outside made me think it was going to be a dump but the inside actually was surprisingly pretty nice and I enjoyed the king sleep number bed.”

“The hotel is nice only vending machines and ice on one floor elevators are fast. Night staff is excellent. There was a male staff member working the desk who is excellent at customer service friendly and very helpful. He should get a pay raise if not an promotion. Beside them over charging my card and the manager has not called me back as he said he would to resolve the matter it was a nice hotel.”

“I do agree that this is a 2.5. It could very well go higher if they keep the upgrades coming. The lobby and welcome staff was very friendly and welcoming - with the exception of one of the head custodians. I saw him knock on several doors only once, early in the morning-including our room. After one knock he would walk right in the room. I had to fuss him out and demand that he leave at once. Management was contacted and they immediately spoke with him. The sleep number beds are like sleeping on a board with a deep slump in it. The more you turn up the number the deeper the bed sinks in. It does not get soft. The sheets were hard and cheap. There were far too many dogs for my comfort. We thought they would be contained in one area; but they were just about every where we went. Overall, it was good for the price. It was clean and neat. I would recommend this to others, but I would make them aware of the above. If they hate animals and a sore back, I would suggest they keep moving.”

“Was told we had a non smoking room even after complaining about the smell and seeing ash trays in room. The maid was very good but there was only so much she could do.”

“Nice, newly renovated hotel with clean rooms, courteous staff and any amenities that a business or leisure traveler could want. Room service was good and there was nice new linens on the bed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only two drawbacks were that the indoor pool and Jacuzzi were right in the middle of a reception area and it is about a 10 to 15 minute drive to historic downtown Charleston. That being said, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel exceeded expectations.”

“This is a nice hotel with good customer service. The dining facility is nice. The hotel needs to post when the pool is being used for private use. Our overall stay was nice.”

“Hotel was average at best. This hotel has banquet rooms located in the pool and fitness area. If they have banquets going on you can forget the fitness center and pool. Very poor way to run the pool area.”

“The best part of this hotel were the staff and the beds. Everything else was disappointing. The lobby, hallways and non-smoking room had a horrible smell. And, I was very unimpressed about my young daughter getting bit by red ants that were crawling on the floor and up the wall under the computer desk. She had a really swollen and painful toe for a few days.”

“The Radisson Hotel was very conveniently located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, updated, and nice. Sleep number beds were in the room and were a nice addition to our stay. Upon arriving at the hotel, the exterior had me nervous. It lacked any luster. Once inside, it was a much different experience. Very clean, nice staff, etc. were waiting for us. Overall, I would stay again at the Radisson.”

“The hotel was really nice and clean, the only thing I did not like was the sleep number beds. I have fibromyalgia and was in a flare up and no number felt good. Plus if someone was sleeping with you the bed was really un-comfortable.”
