“We had no hot water in our room, the staff was overly accomodating, giving us total access to an entire other room as well as breakfast vouchers at the wonderful restaurant. The food was outstanding. The room we stayed in was nicely updated and there was no noise that we could hear in the next rooms or hallways.”

“The Maribeau must have been built in the 1960s and if it has been renovated it sure doesn't show it. The carpet and beds are worn out - poly bed covers from the 1970's designed to hide stains. The staff does a nice job of keeping the place clean but it shows it age everywhere. The bed sloped in the middle - really worn out same with the carpeting - everywhere. The lights are too dim as well.”

“Great location, but the place looked like it was about to close - nobody was there. It seemed to be a convention hotel with a lot of facilities, but our room had an unpleasant odor and you just felt it was not really very clean - especially compared to the moderate chain hotels where the linens are fresh and crisp.”

“The room that I had, the phones did not work. They did not tell me until I tried to use them. Was not happy about was not able to get a wake up call.”

“The hotel was great at letting us check in early. The room was very large and clean but carpet, furniture and counter tops were all old and need updating. I would not choose to stay at this hotel in a non-renovated room and pay their full price.”

“Overall, it was okay, although there was a constant draft in the room from the ventilation system. If you spent much time at the desk, you would end up getting the chills from the draft constantly blowing at you.”

“It's about a 12-minute drive to downtown so not really close-in. Quite dated architecture with cedar trim & popcorn ceilings, hanging lights. It's a challenge to find electrical outlets for your personal stuff like laptops or video games, cell phone chargers.”

“It is apparent that this mammoth sized hotel caters to youth athletic teams - carpets and upholstery were very dirty. The only redeeming quality was that the bed was good. If not for that I would give this hotel a 1 star rating. It is definitely not a 3 star.”

“Not a bad place to stay. Convenient to mall, many restaurants, and other shops. Skip the hotel restaurant especially for breakfast.”

“Corners on the main East-West freeway (I-90) with easy access either way. Freeway noise from North side rooms. Hotel is 3 stars but it is not. Housekeeping did not clean the room on my last day.”

“Bar staff friendly, reception staff unhelpful. If you are elderly and with mobility problems it would be difficult to locate your room without help.”

“This hotel is right next to the freeway, which isn't so bad - it's kind of like white noise. The pool is not big enough for the capacity of the hotel - it's always crowded. The standard/cheap rooms are more spacious than standard hotel rooms and have pillow top mattresses and plenty of pillows. They are nice, but do not keep sound out from people talking outside.”
