“I seriously recommend against staying at this place. The front desk staff was very obnoxious, although the security staff was worse. Impolite, uninformative, pushy, and insulting. Convenient parking is nearly non-existent. The neighborhood is pretty shady, so this was an issue. While waiting to check in, there was a kid out front bleeding profusely due to a drunken hooligan related incident. The view of the ocean came into play only if you literally put your head against the window. This treated you to a sliver view of the ocean and beach that could be seen around the hotel and beyond more construction. I witnessed roaming teens canvassing the cars parked around the hotel for unlocked doors, presumably to steal the contents of the cars. They went from car to car lifting the handles and peering in windows to see if there was anything worth taking. All the construction around ensured there were lots of loose rocks, pipes and chunks of concrete handy in case they decided they wanted to bust out a window and loot one of the vehicles. The neighborhood is very dumpy and not much to speak of. Dirty, littered, run-down, and generally nasty are how I would describe it. The numerous homeless and broke are happy to solicit you for money and/or cigarettes. I've stayed in cruddier rooms, but not for these prices. It had a damp moldy smell, and the shower fixtures made getting anything close to comfortable water temperatures a baffling ordeal. Plus due to fluctuating pressure (I presume), you had to constantly adjust the handle to keep the temperature right. The room was acceptably clean, but the halls, lobby and elevators were not. The wide-ranging clientele, while interesting at times, were more unsettling than anything else.”

“Pretty neat for punks like me, but if you're looking for a high class hotel. I'd suggest you go elsewhere. Every person I've talked to has some random stench in their room or bloody bed sheets or chopsticks all over the floor. It's pretty cool looking. In all it's disgusting though. ”

“Good if you are looking for something cheap near the beach but not a safe area in the direct vicinity of the hotel. Must drive to neighboring towns. Also, tons of construction in the area making it a very unappealing view.”

“If you would like to visit a hotel where it looks like a crime had just taken place and the staff treats you like garbage then by all means stay here!”

“Worst part of the beach--a truly rundown hotel--disgustingly smelly, burnt bed sheets, filthy couch--expensive”
