• Convenient parking, pretty friendly staff.
• Dingy/dirty looking floors in public spaces, very smokey smelling corridor, furnishings and linens.

“The staff at the Holiday Inn Express was very nice, greeted us promptly and got us into our room quickly. All a plus. Unfortunately, we somehow ended up with a smoking room which we did not want and they couldn't find an alternative. The room had an operable window, which was good, but the entire floor we stayed on, including in the public spaces, smelled of smoke and the linens and furnishings were smelly of stale smoke. The bed was overly soft/lumpy and we ended up cutting our trip short since it wasn't a restful room to be in. The staff was very gracious and if you can get a non-smoking room it's probably a good deal for a quick stay. Not a leisure/vacation getaway, though.”

• The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious!
• The hotel clerk treated us very rude.

“Everything was wonderful about the hotel, except the hotel clerk that checked us in. I called the hotel directly to confirm the reservation and that we could get a room with 2 double beds and non smoking. The clerk on the phone was very nice and confirmed that she would put us in a room with 2 double beds and that it was a non-smoking room. When we checked in, the clerk was rude.”

• Extremely clean, pool and hot tub open 24 hours! Fantastic! Desk clerk popped popcorn for us.
• Not too easy to find, but I would attribute that to roadwork being done and detours.

“Super clean room. Loved that we were able to go sit in the hot tub at midnight and relax. Desk clerks extremely helpful. There were no microwaves in the rooms and they were great about popping it for us. They were kind enough to let us check out an hour late also.”

• Clean, beautiful lobby, Great water pressure!
• Ran out of food for breakfast! Staff was rude.

“With an hour left for breakfast, everything was about empty! No milk, no cereal, no gravy, no bacon. When we asked a staff for more gravy for biscuits and gravy she looked down at her watch which said 9:30am on a Sunday, breakfast was served until 10:30am. She said I guess I can. They had spoiled milk, they threw it away when it was brought to their attention. I have stayed at plenty Holiday Inn Express' and never had this experience with breakfast.”

• The staff were knowledgable and very friendly. The full breakfast was adaquate and nicely laid out.

• Very clean, quiet, and affordable.
• It was very difficult to understand the young lady at the front desk.

“We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend adding a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms.”

• Poor parking for large vehicles.

“A pleasant surprise. Very comfortable and clean. Rooms were much more comfortable and tasteful than we expected. We were trying to be frugal in travel and this was much more than we anticipated.”

• The bed and pillows were very comfy!
• The location was not very convenient.

“The hotel was clean, and the rooms were satisfactory (beds were very comfortable!). The continental breakfast was decent. The hotel clerk was not very nice at first; in fact she was a bit rude. I had a hard time finding the hotel because it was so far out of town and I would have switched my room to a different holiday inn express.”

• Slow elevator.

• Staff was not very friendly when I asked for an early check-in.

“Everything was fine, except the staff provided a snippy answer when I asked for an early check-in. It is not as though I expect to be able to check-in whenever I want, but I do expect that they would at least 1) see if a room was ready, or 2) be a little nicer about denying my request. Other than that (and no ESPN in the rooms) the stay was fine and the rooms are clean.”

• It was very clean, nice staff.
• They had the wrong credit card on my bill, I don't have a card for the type they had down.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were good sized. The beds were very comfortable and very clean. The rooms were quiet. There were lots of resources for travelers and it was in a great easy to reach location. I felt safe and did not feel I had to worry about my car or belongings during the stay.”

• The room was nice and roomy.
• Location was not the University District, as requested. We had to rent a car too, and would rather have just paid more for a convenient location.
