• Hotel appearance and staff.

“Being on the beach in Charleston, SC is great but the Boardwalk Inn and the staff leave much to be desired. The appearance of the Inn was a little rundown. Not slow elevators, rude staff and walls that need patching/painting. Folks, do not waste your time going to this place. It would not live up to your expectations. When you check out you will find all kinds of resort fees and destination fees.”

• The rooms & bath were very big and had 2 queens.
• They were painting in the lobby, the restaurant was not open for breakfast.

• I simply adore everything about this hotel, esp. the incredible staff.
• I did not like having to leave.

“The Boardwalk Inn offers true southern charm and hospitality. The attentiveness of the staff and absolutely beautiful decor are second to none, we stay here frequently so for myself and my daughter, it is a home from home! Love it!”

• Ambiance of our condo & hotel front office staff.
• We didn't get maid service for 2 days.

“When we first got to our condo, we were impressed! Half way through our stay our maid service didn't come for 2 days. No coffee and no towels. We called 3 times housekeeping didn't show till day 3 if it wasn't for the staff at the front office we would have been SOL. Thank goodness for the front office! Other than this incident it was an awesome stay!”

“AMAZING! My fiancé and I loved the view over the pool and the short walk to the beach. I wish I could have arranged my trip for more than one day, so I could have experienced one of the two golf courses. No matter where we were in the hotel or property we felt like we were VIP; from Valet parking to quick and friendly service at any of the 3 restaurants on their property.”

• Room was very spacious.
• Recreational facilities were not up to par.

“Our stay was in one of the villas. It was very spacious. Resort amenities were a little hit and miss, but the grounds were maintained well for such a massive and spaced out resort. Dining was either counter service, bar food or 5-star. Would like to see something in the moderate range for eating. Might stay again, but would probably look elsewhere.”

• Nice room.
• Our room was right outside the maids room and they where slamming doors until 12am, then we were woke up at 7am.

“The maids slammed doors outside our room until 12, then a trash dumpster was right below us and the truck came to empty it at 7am on Saturday am. I would not go back.”

• I expected to be in a Suite in the Resort not someone's house.

“The house was nice but not exactly what I expected for a romantic weekend with my wife. The security at the gate did not know where to send me to check in. All and all is was a good weekend.”

• The staff acts like owners of the hotel. Outstanding!
• The self parking is way too far away.

“This is one of the finest run hotels Ive had the pleasure of using. I feel like a VIP from the moment I pull up to the front entrance. And it is very much the experience of the great hotels of days gone by. They really know their stuff.”

• To much construction going on around area.
