• The friendliness of the staff and the way they went out of the way for the customer.
• There was nothing I disliked.

• The water park. Spacious rooms (2 beds/pullout couch).
• Thin bed linens, thin and crinkled mattress cover, ok mattress.

“Located off a major highway in the Wausau area, this huge hotel is clean with a water park and nice touches for kids. The rooms were large but not luxurious. Great place for a quick get away or an overnight with kids.”

• Lazy staff.

“We told front desk, after we finally located an employee that a room service tray was in our hallway. After 5 hours it was finally removed. Front desk staff were less than helpful!”

• Public space roomy and great theme--room was comfortable.
• It sounded easy to find - but I kept getting lost trying to leave!

• The water park.
• No sleep, kids pounding the floor and hallways until very late.

“I would recommend the water park facilities to children to 14 years old. As an adult do not expect sleep to be on your list of things to do. The lack of soundproofing in the hotel rooms is very evident. Just stay a night or 2. The fire alarm sounded and the staff was inadequately trained to deal with an actual emergency! It was a good thing it was a false alarm. At least that was what I was told by the front desk. I will look for another destination in the future.”

• Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, full watermark designed with an eye to keeping track of kids.
• The TV could be positioned a bit better, due to the large size of the rooms.

“This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. We had just departed a luxury hotel/watermark in the Wisconsin dells. The rooms are very large, well appointed and exude a rustic "log cabin" type of charm. The lobby is a work of art, with towering ceilings, wildlife scenes, a watermill and the freshest air imaginable. So fresh my 10 yr old commented on it. As a guest, you are entitled free access to a wonderful water park and I can say this having just previously visited the largest indoor water park in the Nation. In fact, I liked this better, as it was designed in a manner that it was easier to track your kids as they run about. All of this for about half the price of the luxury resort we had just departed in Wisconsin dells!”

• We liked it all.

“The hotel was great. My family had a great time. They even did a bedtime story time of the kids with milk and cookies. My daughter loved it. The rides were great and we will definitely return.”

• It was not crowded.
• The pool was closed at 9 pm.

• The water park was great.
• I would have liked a complimentary local newspaper.

“I was very happy to be able to check in at noon. We all enjoyed the water park on Saturday and most of Sunday. You get water park passes when you check in and then you have to ask for the passes the next day. You can use the water park even though you have to check out. This could be a problem for some. My kids enjoyed the story time, cookies and milk. The rooms were quiet except there was a lot of hall noise. I was woke up numerous times by voices in the hall.”

• It was a beautiful hotel and a fun packed water park. The place was fabulous.
• 1 thing- the teenagers working water park were snobs that were more interested in talking to each other on radios and laughing at people than helping.

“The hotel was a wonderful experience. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, and a fun place to stay. Only thing that I can complain about was the workers at the park area. They were talking on radios to each other and laughing at people and thought that way”

• Wonderful hotel for families. The room was huge!
• Bathroom was very small.

“Great experience. Would stay there again. The rooms are huge with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. It also had a microwave and frig. That sure comes in handy!”

• The hotel clerk was very accommodating. It was a nice quiet place to stay.
• The hotel was a non - smoking hotel and I am a smoker, but that was okay.

• It was located on south end of Wausau; not in Mosinee; could not find it at first.

“Family-oriented hotel with water park. Very spacious rooms; microwave and empty refrigerator (you can bring your own refreshments). Hotel staff was very accommodating to provide security for my bicycle.”

“I loved the Northwood's theme at the Lodge at Cedar Creek. It was very woodsy with log accents and furniture made from sticks. The hotel was spic and span both inside and out and the service was great. The watermark looked like a paradise for kids. I kept wishing our son was young again so we could take him. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area!”
