• Location to Potomac Mills and restaurants.

“Hotel location is excellent for a shopping trip at Potomac Mills. Hotel is clean and accommodating. Staff was pleasant and attentive. I'd stay here again when in the area.”

• Great room with a lovely bathroom. Was able to check in early (always a good thing).
• Walls very thin, could hear conversations from room next door. Lots of kids running around making noise at all hours.

“The hotel was in a good location, even though I think it was more than the 10 miles advertised from the Springfield Metro station. The walls were really thin allowing me to hear everything from the rooms next door. Other guests at the hotel were not very considerate of their own noise levels.”

“The first room they gave me smelled like smoke, so I requested to be moved. Then the toilet in the new room got backed up and all the hotel did was drop off a plunger. We had to fix the toilet ourselves. Then the hotel did not pick the plunger up till the next day, so it sat outside our door all night. They had the grass cut while we were there and it covered my car in dirt, which was so bad I could not see out the windows.”

• It was beautiful and inviting and quiet.
• We loved every part of this hotel.

“Although it's a little difficult to find, it's well worth the effort. The rooms are clean, beautiful and the bed is incredibly comfortable. The decor is modern and inviting.”

• Convenient to restaurants, mall and historical sights.
• No refrigerator that worked. Had to ask next day for one due to husband's medication that needed refrigeration.

“The staff was courteous. The location was excellent to dining and shopping. Easy to drive to Mount Vernon and Gunston Hall. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The room was large and clean. Our adult daughter loved the walking distance to bed, bath and beyond! We would stay there again.”

• Cleanliness and pleasant service.
• No mirror in main room.

“We had a very pleasant and comfortable three day stay. A couple of minor problems with a lamp and the toilet were addressed promptly and courteously. Other comparable hotels in the area offer a complementary continental breakfast. We missed that amenity, but overall had a good experience.”

• Very convenient with the way they have a small bar and restaurant set up in lobby. That is rare in this day and age!
• No complimentary breakfast- great little restaurant set up, but would be nice to have a smaller array of breakfast items free (grab and go vs. Sitting.

• Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.
• Athletic facilities were very limited; pool and Jacuzzi were not in good condition (operable, but with evident damage).

“Overall, a very nice mid-range facility. Conveniently located with several nearby restaurants in easy walking distance. A friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and in good repair. An afterthought athletic equipment room with limited equipment options. Pool area, while appearing pleasant were in need of attention. Damaged pool steps, abrasive plaster in both the pool and whirlpool. Whirlpool had the velocity of a soda straw blown at an emphysema convention. Exterior of the facility was in very good condition.”

• Clean, comfortable, friendly.
• Description stated mini-frig, it was a icebox instead.

“This hotel was the best I have stayed in. Staff was very friendly and willing to assist. The rooms were immaculate, no signs of wear or overuse. Housekeeping did a fabulous job of keeping the facility spotless. Outside was well maintained and private. Dining area was clean and felt homelike with comfortable furniture. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to all.”

• Spacious rooms, lobby, fitness room, whirlpool, indoor swimming, free internet, clean, noon checkout.
• Hours of fitness and pool area could be open later, need more handicapped rooms, better refrigerators.

“We were very pleased with the room. Much larger than expected. Liked the refrigerator in the room, but did not get very cold. Would recommend this hotel to friends. Would like to be contacted if any specials ever come up. Loved the extra pillows on the beds and the fact that they were queen instead of the normal full size beds. The chair, loveseat, and shower seat were nice as well. Will come back again to stay soon.”
