• It is a very nice hotel, has everything I expected.
• The bathroom is small. The pool was not heated.

• The friendly employees and the clean room. These things are important to me.
• The location was not exactly what I expected, but it worked out fine. It was not convenient to food places.

“It is a very family friendly place. The employees are friendly and helpful. I had just left a hotel in Virginia beach which was a 3 star hotel and it did not compare to the Crown Plaza in a lot of ways, especially cleanliness. I am stickler for cleanliness and helpful and friendly employees.”

• Location; Bed was comfortable.
• unfriendly staff; housekeeping was horrible.

“I picked the hotel because of the rating it had and the reviews. I was disappointed. The room could have been cleaner. It was not vacuumed daily. It took forever for the beds to be made during the week--I think they had one housekeeper per floor. They brought more in during the weekend but on Saturday we were without towels until about 8:00 that night even though I had requested them twice. 1 trash can per room and the bathroom was extremely small. Expected a better quality room for the price and rating and was disappointed. Location was good--near Colonial Williamsburg but there were other hotels in the area that probably were cleaner than this one. Didn't find staff at the front desk to be pleasant at all. Fire alarm went off the second night we stayed (early the next morning). The alarm went off in the hallway and if I wasn't a light sleeper, my family would have slept through it since it didn't go off in the room. For the money and ratings that it received--I was disappointed and would not stay there again.”

• furniture kind of old and beat up

“Nice amenities - pool, indoor & outdoor, tennis courts, spa pool. Very nice private balcony for each room but door to balcony in poor condition.Beautiful lobby - rooms did not match the beauty of lobby though. Older TV and furniture.”

• No maid service (did not show) exterior doors left open, had to call security for problems with people in hall not guest, very scary.

“Old, dated, no one at front desk was able to answer questions about the area. The exterior doors were not locked and a bunch of teenagers were outside at 10:30 at night. Maid service never showed up to clean room. Room was not clean.”

• The lobby looked nice.
• No sauna (as described), No microwave/ Refrig.

“The Room we stayed in was at back of Hotel & was run down. It was isolated from the other block of hotel rooms. Had to take a Smoking room to get two double beds (which were requested before arrival). Have stayed in much nicer rooms for the price and star rating.”

• The rooms were very nice and clean. Anytime we needed anything the hotel staff provided it within minutes. Would definitly stay again.
• Elevators and bathrooms were small. We understand that this is structural and cannot be changed.

“Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. We did not have any bad experiences. The hotel staff was very effiencient and were quick to help when needed. We had a wonderful time there.”

“Hotel site was convenient to my visit to Busch Gardens (1 mile). Hotel grounds, pool, lobby were all up to my expectation. Rate was OK as I paid a little less than standard rate. In biding I expected to get a higher rated hotel but had a good overall experience.”

• It seemed like the groups/families were having a good time.
• Was at the far end of first floor right by an exit door that people kept leaving ajar so people wouldn't have to have key to get in...felt unsafe.

• The beds were very comfortable and I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony!
• I wish there was a sauna/steam room.

“I really enjoyed my stay here. The beds were so comfortable and it had a balcony which was nice! The shower and toilet are separate from the vanity area which made it very cramped but other than that I have no other complaints!”
