• The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. It was very clean.
• Had to wait in line for waffles at breakfast.

“I would recommend this hotel. The price was right, and we really liked the living area being separate from the bedroom. The staff could not have been nicer.”

• I spent 8 years as a business traveler. This is an excellent hotel for the money.
• No complaints.

• Nice breakfast variety.
• Common areas very dirty during cleaning hours.

“We arrived at 2:30 AM to check in and had to wait about 5 minutes before anyone noticed we were at the front desk. Desk staff was not friendly. On the way to our room we had to pass a number of piles of trash, dirty towels ant other mess left out by the cleaning crew while they were in progress. Room itself was average, nothing special. Parking was very tight, especially when we arrived back late in the evening. Breakfast in the morning had a great variety and a nice large room for eating. Check out was moderately quick and staff was more friendly.”

• Very clean, very comfortable beds, location, good continental breakfast.
• Didn't seem like there was enough parking.

“This hotel was wonderful overall. It wasn't far at all from Busch Gardens and the beds were super comfortable to pass out in after a day there! The room and all the facilities were very clean and the pool area looked great, unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use it. The bathroom was roomy and clean with plenty of counter space and there was a hairdryer and everything. There was a closet in the room and free internet and TV so the room basically had everything, the only thing they didn't have was a micro fridge and microwave which the fridge would've been nice to keep drinks in and stuff. The continental breakfast area was large and had a good variety of food, it was very nice. The staff overall was great, one person was not very friendly but it wasn't bad or anything. The parking lot seemed very crowded and hard to find a space but I guess that's expected. Overall this hotel was an awesome and I would definitely stay there again!”

• The location, period.
• After check in, the room had no soap or shampoo, the television had poor reception. I had to get the key rescanned 3 times.

“I was disappointed with the Fairfield. From the lack of soap and shampoo in the room to the having to get the key rescanned on three occasions. Also, the free breakfast was not ready at 7:00AM as posted. There were several items either still locked up or missing. I would not recommend this hotel.”

• Very helpful staff, especially when there was some confusion on my bill at checkout.

“Great location -- safe and easy to find; spacious, clean, comfortable room; good choices at breakfast (which is included in price); pool looked clean and nice, though we did not use it.”

• Clean and nicely appointed room, helpful staff.
• Dining space was filthy at breakfast.

“Overall our stay was pleasant. The room was nicely appointed and reflected the level I would expect from a chain like Fairfield. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful, providing directions and maps. They seemed to be very knowledgeable about the area. The only complaint was at breakfast. Granted we arrived to breakfast late (around 9:30, they stop serving at 10:30) and it was a Saturday morning. The dining area was just very dirty. Food on the floor, sticky tables and serving areas. The food layout was not intuitive.”

• Convenience to major attractions, indoor pool, hot breakfast.
• Pool deck was filthy, littered with mud and dirty towels strewn all over and no clean towels in sight.

“The pool deck with filthy with mud and dirty towels. For two days no clean towels were replenished in the pool area. Breakfast was good but more microwave ovens are needed since the breakfast sandwiches are your highlighted item. Can't eat them frozen and most families were micro waving 4 or more which means a long wait for the microwave. Money was stolen from our guest room during the time we left for dinner. Have to believe it was an inside job (front desk staff or maintenance) as it was in the evening. Manager had maintenance run a check of the lock on our door and allegedly no one unauthorized entered during our stay. Mind you maintenance was a likely suspect who can access keys to any room as desk staff (there were 2 ladies on duty that evening and not extremely friendly). Extremely disappointing!”

• Well I never been in a 2 star hotel but this more then met my expectations.
• I really don't have any complaints.

“I went to there for the amusements parks therefore I was looking to spend too much money, so I settled for a 2 star hotel. I was nervous and expecting the worst so I guess due to my extremely low expectations I was very pleased with this hotel. I've actually been to worst hotels with more stars.”

• It was clean, staff was helpful, and food was good.
• Air Conditioning was too cold.

“I would highly recommend Fairfield Inn because of it met every expectation anyone would have. There was adequate parking, the continental breakfast was excellent, the rooms were clean and the staff was courteous and helpful.”

• The hotel was clean and convenient to local activities and had a great breakfast buffet!
• The swimming pool floor area was dangerous and had a very slippery surface. I fell hard and could have gotten seriously hurt!

“Very nice hotel with clean, comfortable rooms! The breakfast buffet was extensive and quite good! The swimming pool area was nice but dangerous because the floor surface was overly wet and slippery! Their was very little traction on the pool floor surface. I fell very hard on the surface hitting my hip and buttock area! I nearly hit my head on the corner of the raised hot tub ceramic area. Something really needs to be done to make the pool area safer!”

• The bathroom appeared to be clean.
• Had to wait outside at 2 am to get door open, no parking, charged $20 for broken frig that froze meals.

• Continental breakfast. Not well prepared for the crowds.

“Very nice hotel. Rooms were neat and clean and staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was not well stocked for the crowds, but otherwise, we would highly recommend this hotel. The location is great for both Historic Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.”

• Free breakfast was excellent - food choices were numerous. Computers were user-friendly & very accessible.
• Gym had no fans - was too warm.

“Hotel was clean. 2 employees at check-in were courteous & helpful. Breakfast was big - lots of variety. Lobbies/seating areas/TVs aplenty. Gym was too warm - AC was not on – also no fans were available. 2 computers available in lobby area. Room was very warm - need ventilation.”
