  • It made you feel at home.
  • The AC was just outside the bathroom and you got cold after a bath.

“I was impressed with the hotel and staff. I have a disabled young man and they were very accommodating to him.”

  • Old out date furniture and dirty nasty and staff unprofessional.

“This is the bad hotel.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[7] • Location:[6]

  • Nothing.
  • It was run down and was more of a hotel that people live at than stay at.

“The rooms were small, slightly dingy, and very run down. The TV did not even work. The patronage here looked to be the type that lives in the hotel as many of them had plastic lawn, chairs and park benches in front of their rooms. The overall feel of this hotel was very run down and trashy. I expected to hear gun shots or see other illegal activities going on at night.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • The fact that we left and went and got another hotel room.
  • Everything.

“This was by far the dirtiest place I have ever seen in my life. There was mold growing on the walls that had been painted over, the smell was atrocious. The toilet had stains in it, the bedspread had tears in it, the door never even touched. The door jam when the door was closed, Need I say I will be frequenting Williamsburg for the next 2 years but I will not even drive by this hotel for fear I will get dirty!”

  • NA.
  • Old, bad mattresses, not very clean.

“Overall it wasn't too bad of an experience. But, the hotel was pretty run down. Especially the bathroom where our toilet kept clogging up. However the manager did let us use his enormous plunger.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[1]

  • Price and location was good.
  • Felt unsafe and bathroom shower mat had never been scrubbed.

“I got to the hotel and quickly picked up on the fact the 2 rooms down someone appeared to be dealing drugs from the hotel. On the other side of the room next had someone living in it and I got a bad vibe from the people in that room. I packed my bags and left. I was too nervous to stay in that hotel.”

  • Location.
  • Could stand a bit of up-dating but is satisfactory as is.

“I've stayed at this place numerous times since 1985 and have not been dissatisfied. The location is great a nice quiet part of town where the traffic is practically non-existent. The management has always been very helpful and is willing to accommodate me for entrance to my assigned room when Ive arrived late at night due to airline changes. I would definitely recommend this place to others, it is well worth it.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • Location. Easy to find and then get to Colonial Williamsburg.
  • Needs to check the "little things" in rooms each day while doing housekeeping, like Kleenex supply, etc.

“I've stayed at this place numerous times since 1986 back when it was known as The Capitol Motel and have enjoyed the "off the beaten track" location. So far it has been a great place to stay. I like the peace and quiet after a busy day. It's near some good restaurants, and it doesn't take long to get to Colonial Williamsburg.”
