• The hotel was clean, felt new (it had just recently been remodeled) and convenient to our needs.
• It was located in a section of Portsmouth that is undergoing renewal. It is making a contribution to growth.

“There was a wonderful Old feel about the hotel that gave it a neat ambience. The staff was very friendly and accomidating and the food in the restuarant at breakfast was terrific. The chef even Highly recommended three restaurants for dinner that we nationall rated. The room and bed was very comfortable and easy to regulate as to coolness and warmth. We will return next year.”

• Close to Old Town and Water. Easy access from Expressway.
• Uncomfortable chair in room. Spent several evenings in room. Only chair/bad.

“Was what we expected. Lost power one night. I was stuck in elevator for approximately 45 minutes. Later we were unable to get to our room because magnetic security device, on hall access (to our room) was not working. After about an hour hotel staff allowed us into another room until we could access our room. It was a long and unpleasant evening.”

• Clean, restaurant next door, free parking, hart of the city.
• Poor food, smell of rooms, unable to control temperature.

• Beds were comfortable.
• The place looked shabby the water was cold and they need to give a direct address so you can get the right directions thru map quest.

“I had called and asked for a double bed room because we had 4 teens needed at least 2 beds for them as we booked 2 rooms our room was a king. I was told they couldnt guaranty the double room they did not tell me this till after I arrived at 4am I am thinking how are we going to fit 4 big teens in 1 king bed. We got our rooms and the kids got a dirty room called and they did get a clean room right away thank god with 2 beds for the kids. The water was cold when I tried to take a shower. The overall stay was not nice glad we were only there to sleep for 1 night. Was quite surprised because last year we had a nice hotel stay at quality inn in Norfolk.”
