“I was especially impressed that for such an inexpensive room, it was huge! The customer service was incredible from the front desk attendant, the concierge, the bellman, the valet parking attendants, and the room service waiter! The location was perfect for the mavericks basketball game and was also extremely close to the west village. We had a blast!”

“This obviously is a hotel which has gone past its time. We did expect that the toilet would be able to flush (it did not). Also the first glimpse of the room was a big carpet stain near the door. And the exterior of the door was smudged and dirty.”

“The location of the hotel is great for business travelers. Just make sure that you keep in mind that they charge you $20 a day for you to park at the hotel. The hotel driveway is a complete zoo, cars flying everywhere and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. You will have plenty of room to stash all of your clothes you brought since the closet was a spacious walk-in closet, but the bathroom was small. The bed was comfortable, but the AC system chugged (loudly) to keep the temperature in the room 72 degrees. The room seemed a little like they didn't quite know what kind or size of furniture to place inside of it (a lot of wasted space). There is a desk for your use in the room, and they supply a plug for internet access, but they don't make it too clear what the charge is to use it. They tell you that they can access their web page, but to go beyond that will cost you. I tried to see if they offered wi-fi access, but couldn't detect a signal. The staff was very pleasant and friendly, and the lobby area and the pool area were both clean and nicely maintained. Overall, a nice hotel, pretty much a standard kind of room, but nothing really exceptional.”

“Fairmont hotels are top quality, I paid the lowest rate at the Dallas Fairmont that I've ever paid at a Fairmont. Despite some negative reviews on the web, it appears they have corrected any deficiencies.”

“Great location, hotel staff very helpful and friendly. From the bellmen to the front desk, everyone we met greeted us, had a smile on their faces and was genuinely concerned that we had a nice stay. Excellent hotel and services.”

“Pros: The hotel's atmosphere was pleasant and very luxurious. The hotel staff was very attentive. Cons: There was no soda machine anywhere on site. There was no personal parking available. The only parking available was VALET, which charged $19/day. So, you may as well add the $19 onto your room charge making the price per day $118/night. The pool was very dirty. My family and I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel during MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, yet the pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned EVER. There was debris, hair, dirt, etc. floating on the surface of the water as well as debris on the bottom of the pool....VERY DISGUSTING.”

“My colleague & I chose this hotel for a recent whirlwind tour of our major Dallas clients. After a long day of schmoozing one customer after another, it was nice to have someone else pampering *us*. The woman who checked us in was a bit snotty, but I think she was new. There was a little confusion because I wanted a non-smoking room, and my colleague needed a smoking room. But a manager intervened & got it all settled. As we drove out each morning, the valets made a point of asking if we needed directions :)If you're a business traveler visiting downtown clients, this hotel is ideally located. We were no more than 10 blocks from any major office building, and even the Crescent Court area was just a few minutes away. This is now our default hotel for Dallas visits.”
