“The overall stay was okay. I would not recommend eating at the hotel's restaurant. The price of the food was over inflated for the quality. The hotel was being remodeled. When it is finished, it has the potential of being beautiful.”

“CLEAN! We could smell the cleaning chemicals when we walked into the hotel room! The rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated; the TV is placed inside of an armoire! This establishment really wanted to make their customers feel at home. Mirrored closet, ironing board with iron, coffee maker on the countertop of a very spacious bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a magnifying mirror and a hair dryer! The staff was friendly, and the breakfast, according to my husband, was pretty good. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants, and minutes away from the beach. This hotel hosted our family reunion, and everyone enjoyed their experience here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and I plan to make this a regular summer destination!”

“This was our first stay at this particular hotel in Lake Jackson. I thought it was very nice. Our room was very clean. The bed was so comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The lobby at this hotel is beautiful!”

“I was a very disappointed. We had just driven 4.5 hours and upon check in I had asked the clerk if I might have a room that would be very quiet and she said not a problem. We came back later from a visit with relatives at about 10:30 pm and the band for the graduation party could be heard in the parking lot. The band finally quit a little after midnight (about) and the kid went up and down the halls and then took the party to the back parking lot. This is very tired. Traveler may get 2 hours worth of sleep at night. Got up early the next morning. We had to be at Lakewood church in north Houston the next morning. Thank you for listening.”

“The way the hotel is drawn out, it looks small on the outside but very well kept. Once you are inside, the sounds of the fountain in the middle, and the mellow conversations from the restaurant from the left warms, the listener's ears and makes a customer think 'now this is what I'm talking about'. The staff are very friendly, the bar is open till midnight (unless no customers are there) and the rooms are just as welcome as the lobby. The pool looked just as it did in the picture except it is surrounded by screens instead of glass, and the water took the curls out of my leg hairs it was so cold. Overall, this is a wonderful place to go and I would recommend this hotel to anyone that likes to save money but enjoy a slice of luxury.”

“This hotel was ok, but I was uncomfortable that it took too long to get into the exterior door that was closest to my room. It took several tries to get the key card to work. After two nights of standing outside, alone, behind the building trying to gain entry, I eventually just parked in the front and walked the long way to my room.”

“This is a 1960s property that has been through several owners and has a fresh coat of paint but is short of any 3 stars I have stayed.”

“The only amenities used was the restaurant for breakfast; good cost; bad food; bad service. Hotel staff was helpful; hotel clean, with strong disinfectant smell in room; very old building; bed was great! Was exceedingly clean room; quiet; DVD player in room. Not many channels on TV; good price. Would definitely stay here again.”
