• The hotel staff was very kind and friendly. The room was great and the continental breakfast was good.

“This hotel is a great place to stay at if you are traveling to Springfield, VA., the staff is kind and friendly. The rooms are great and the continental breakfast was good. I would recommended this hotel anyone. I will also stay in this hotel again when I travel to Springfield, Virginia.”

• The staff at the registrar was most friendly and helpful.
• The individual room heating/cooling sys. Had very loud fan noise, whether on high or low.

“This was a wonderful and accommodating hotel. Employees that you spoke with were always attentive and pleasant. The lobby, hallways, and rooms were spotless and very professionally presented. I will always check for this hotel 1stwhen I'll be lodging in that area. The vending machines on each floor, (many were not functional). That needs correction.”

• Very clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice breakfast area.

“My husband and I stayed there with our two boys, ages 19 and 6, and we were all very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was easy to find and it was packed so they must be doing a lot right.”

• Free wireless internet.

“Over booked. Assigned 3 people to a room for 2 and then sent up a roll away bed that would not fit into room. Although reservation was made in advance the appearance was that the hotel was not going to honor Non-smoking room request. Confused staff/Management. Hotel Computer system did not appear to give front desk any better grasp on reality. Most of the staff did not speak English.”

• Despite the hotel being somewhat awkward to find straight off the interstate, it's location was very convenient to restaurants and the Metro.
• Initially finding it right off the interstate was difficult but that's mainly because the road sign for the hotel was twisted and couldn't be read.

“This was my second time staying at the Holiday Inn Express, and both times was very satisfying. I love the location, I've used this hotel when traveling to convention sites within the city, and because of it's convenient location near the Metro, I don't have to risk driving into DC. It's also great for my budget.”

• The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
• The windows need to be sealed there was a draft.

“Pleasant, Staff was very pleasant, from the lobby thru the maid service, all appear to like their jobs and did them without reservation. The only problem I experienced was with the TV viewing. During the high winds the Saturday perception would break up. The channels were limited and some of the more popular were not available, Lifetime for one.”

• I liked the location, very close to interstates and dc.
• Staff did not speak English.

“The hotel was nice but I expected more out of a Holiday Inn product. The elevators were very slow and all the stairways led to the outside and you could not use them to get from the lobby to your room without going outside.”

• Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
• Finding it from the interstate was somewhat challenging.

“Front desk staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to ensure I understood directions to various places and even suggested appropriate restaurants. Security guard was extremely helpful when my mother, who has dementia, got out of our room in the middle of the night. He was able to locate me and bring her back safely. .”

• Location convenient when I visit Arlington National cemetery, which is twice annually.
• Occasionally have rowdy, boisterous groups as guests.

• Shuttle service and close to shopping and restaurants.
• Room had a couple dirty spots (nothing major), and upon checking in, I received a little bit of attitude from the font desk staff.

“If you want to be a little further away from dc, and still have easy access to dc, this is a place you can choose to stay.”

• It is very easy to find, right off the freeway and an excellent hotel for the price.
• I have no complaints.

• Clean. Everything worked as advertised.
• Weekend crowds of traveling teams of kids swarmed the lobby.

“It was just fine. Just what I needed for a comfy bed, a roof over my head and a good night's sleep for a low cost non-business trip. Nothing fancy but nothing bad. Clean, easy, no problems with sinks or toilets or web.”

• It was convenient to everything we needed in Springfield.
• We were put in a smoking room to begin with and we had to stay there for one night.

“About par for what I would expect for a family hotel like holiday inn. Housekeeping did not respond to my inquiry about a lost personal item; they never called me back after I called them to tell them what jihad lost. I was not happy being treated likes that, even if the item was lost.”

• Desk clerks were a little abrupt; this could be that they were crowded at the time I checked in. This could also be that I am from the South.
