“For a Best Western branch I expected much more from this hotel. It smelled bad from the time I walked into it. The ride in the elevator had the same dank smell to it and the room itself smelled of mildew.”

“The room was nice & clean and most staff was helpful and friendly. However, TV buttons and special phone buttons (setting alarm, etc) didn't work. Had to request shampoo and soap and it would have been nice to have a 2nd trash can in the bathroom.”

“It is off Canal Street with other tall buildings nearby that you cant get much view from the room. Reasonable price for a 3 star hotel. Great free breakfast!”

“Nice little hotel off Canal Street. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast in the morning and was recently remodeled. Great price for the location.”

“The hotel was clean and in a great location. However, the hotel staff was horrible. I spent 1.5 hours trying to get into the hotel valet. I called the desk twice to ask if the streets in front of the hotel were blocked and could not get an answer. I had to park 5 blocks away and pay double to park for 1 night. Once I got to the hotel to check in, the guy working the front desk put my credit card and someone else's in the machine at the same time and got them stuck. It took 30 minutes to get my credit card back and about 45 minutes just to register. The next morning I was able to valet my car, but that took another 30 minutes. The people at the desk said the valet would set me up with a ticket, while the valet said it was the responsibility of the people working the desk. I waited in line at the desk 20-30 minutes before flagging down a different valet who was able to get my ticket and park my car in less than 1 minute. They were less than helpful and were in no hurry to help anyone.”

“The hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. The rooms were clean and the location was great; right at the door of the French Quarter. It was a good price too.”

“The hotel is clean and pleasant. The decor is simple but inviting. Its location is very convenient; the French Quarter is within easy walking distance. Even someone as clueless with directions as me would have an easy time finding it. Only problem was the extremely thin walls accompanied by an obnoxious, drunken neighbor.”

“Overall except for the ants and exposing me to all of New Orleans my stay was comfortable enough. Mainly because of the location. The staff was friendly and paid attention to their customers. Security was good.”

“Exposed brick in the room added to the 'coolness' of the hotel. The valet parking was nice since there wasn't anywhere to public park within a comfortable walking distance. They held our luggage for us after check out so we could walk the quarter some more, which was nice. Overall, great experience.”

“Can't handle the strain of made grass. Hopefully their elevators aren't usually out (had to carry own bags up 4 flights) and hopefully their staff can usually clean and be helpful.”

“It was perfect for a day before and after a cruise. I'd stay there again. It was very clean, affordable, and easy to walk to different places. Taxis were easy to grab too. Loved the decor. Worth the cost!”

“I would recommend this hotel because of the location. It is near the Casino and 30 feet from Canal Street. It is very convenient to the French Quarter and eight blocks from the D-Day Museum.”

“The room was nice. Carpet needs to be cleaned though. The air conditioner needed maintenance. Was very loud, fan was making loud noises. The location only one block from the French Quarter was perfect. Would stay here again.” Amenities at Best Western Saint Christopher Hotel, New Orleans
