• Great location and convenience.
• The room I stayed in was in a separate building, and this section is some what overpriced.

“Dan ford's has a great location for anyone traveling on the North Shore of Eastern Long Island. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good, and a good value for this area. The rooms in the buildings across the street from Dan ford's main hotel, however are dated and not on par with the quality of the rest of the hotel.”

• The fireplace if it worked. Charming.
• Parking. We had to lug our luggage through a parking lot and around a corner to the hotel.

• Location - walking distance from coast & restaurants.
• A long way to the wineries.

“A nice hotel, easy to walk to Port Jeff amenities a nice place for a little winter night away (but not much to do, and was a bit cold to leave the room too often!). Pretty basic, but comfy bed & a good shower - thought the heating was a bit unpredictable. I'm sure it would be nicer in summer - but then it would have been crowded! It was what we wanted - somewhere outside the bustle of the city for a little 'us' time - that we would not break our student budget. Who needs a luxury hotel when you have each other!”
