“The hotel itself will probably be ok when renovations are complete but when we were there the renovations in process rendered the advertised facilities useless. Even after renovation, however, the neighborhood will still be scary and lacking in development (like nearby restaurants, for example).”

“Hotel was fine and all expected amenities were there for the price. A good deal really. The restaurant was the biggest lacking aspect. It was closed much of the time, and when open staff was hard to catch. No coffee bar. There are not many convenient places to eat near by so you're stuck with lame service, high hotel prices for food. Otherwise I really enjoyed staying there.”

“I had trouble getting to the hotel, as you cannot turn left off US-9 going south from EWR. The room was very comfortable and neatly attended by housekeeping. I was displeased with the breakfast buffet, of which I had to pay $10.95 extra - it had basic breakfast food and the steam tables were empty when I went up. There was about a 30 minute wait for replenishment. You have to pay $7 a night for parking at the hotel - I was there for 8 nights, so $56 charged in addition. There is no bulk laundry service available. They do provide the service externally, but you have to pay-per-item. I found this to be inconvenient. There is free high speed wireless Internet The 802.11g signal was a bit weak, but the performance was good. I had a room facing the airport on the tenth floor, but I hardly noticed any airport noise.”

“Clean well run hotel minutes from Newark Airport and downtown Newark. The freshly redecorated rooms were quite pleasant. The complimentary internet worked really well and extended all around the hotel. The only drawback was pay parking, however, the parking lot is fully fenced and secure.”

“Hotel was OK, but don't expect the late night staff to be helpful with the computer services. Their printing service did not work, and the front desk guy was NOT helpful at all in helping resolve the problem. If you need this service, I'd go elsewhere. They don't tell you either, but you should be able to get wireless access in your room. Otherwise, shuttle to the airport was good, staff 50/50 was friendly and helpful. Rooms clean; I was given a smoking room accidentally, but it was rectified promptly by Bruno.”

“I paid for three rooms at this hotel and then they have the balls to charge $7.oo a day for parking,,,,, that was 21.oo for three cars never again.! that like buying a hotdog for $2.00 and another $2.00 for the roll! forget the ketchup.”

“The 4 Points Sheraton far exceeded my expectations. It was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The lobby was bright, and the potpourri scent welcomed weary travelers, as if they were coming home. The room was immaculate, the service friendly. The second night, the people next door were very loud, with violent cursing, slapping, etc. No one answered the lobby phone when I called twice, between 1 and 2 am. Luckily, we hadn't gotten back to the hotel from Manhattan until 1am. They stopped at 2am. They were gone early the next morning. The desk clerk (Manager?) was mortified and almost cried (I WAS crying) when I told him what had happened (I was with my 19 year old son). They didn't charge me for parking for my entire stay and apologized every time they saw me. Other than that glitch, everything was simply fabulous. We had a Manhattan skyline view from the 11th floor, the room was remodeled and felt brand new, the bed was wonderful, a church was 1 block away, it was very near the airport in Newark and convenient to NYC. Terrific pool, too. Even with the snafu the one evening, I would give this hotel 4 stars. I would do this even if I had paid $100 per night, and the $7 per day parking. ”

“Watch the shuttle service; with an early morning flight, I almost was left at the hotel due to crowding (a family of four was + others). Room and check-in were good. Full range of TV programming, including HBO. Good chair in the room.”
