“This was the least desirable hotel I have every stayed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The lobby and my room were not clean.”

“I was looking forward to relaxing a little and going for a swim and pool was unavailable but they did have a partnership with another facility to accommodate guest, but it closed at 6pm so they upgraded me to a jacuzzi suite. Staff was excellent and very helpful.”

“This was by no means a three star hotel, it was run down and had a wild bar attached to the hotel. There were loud cars and people partying in the hotel and in the parking lot.I would not return to this facililty again.”

“Inside was fine. Everything in the room worked and it was comfortable. It is an old, tired property that has the feeling of distress.”

“On the surface, a wonderful place and maybe we just had an unusual experience. But when we went to our first room, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. Although the hotel staff was friendly and agreed to change our room, even the second room had the scent of smoke. I am sensitive to these things, so my stay was not that pleasant.”

“The hotel is old and outdated. The lobby is full of old and dusty fake floral arrangements. There are no hotel amenities and there is a questionable night club attached. The undesirable type of people loitering around the hotel and club late at night did not make me very comfortable, not to mention the loud bass music that was playing kept us up until 2am.”

“Kind of in a very busy part of town.”

“This was a nice neat hotel with big rooms and polite staff. They have free internet access as well. Located right next to the CVS pharmacy, McDonalds, and the dollar store, so it was pretty convenient. Main negative was that it is right next to a bar (shares the same parking lot). Both nights I was there I was heckled by drunk people hanging outside the hotel as I came inside.”

“This hotel was in the middle of town. It has a restaurant and a loud bar in the evening. The walls in the rooms are very, very thin. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating though.”

“Use a cleaning solution that is aromatic, appealing to the senses, not pine scented. Respect does not disturb policy. Do not enter rooms when sign is posted. Vacuum corners. Brighten lobby colors and floral arrangements.”

“Ask for a room not facing highway 40.”

“The hotel is older and under renovation. It is very quiet but they need to learn to vacuum the carpets are always dirty.”

“The hotel was, at some point, obviously excellent. I'm not sure if it is being renovated, or decaying. There's an older, unused motor lodge portion of the property with an inoperable outdoor pool. The staff, however, was extremely good, and very friendly.”

“This Hotel is close to a few fast food restaurants, It's somewhat clean. Could be better. It does however get my allergies going. Bar was being remodeled I think. Restaurant was never open. Continental breakfast was a joke. Maids won't clean your room if they see the do not disturb sign only make 1 attempt and never check back.”

“This property is very much stuck in the 1980's. It is actually over 3 miles. The hotel was virtually deserted on a weekday night, thus the room was very quiet! I would prefer not to stay here again.” Amenities at Grand Venice Hotel, Hagerstown
