  • Location was good and easy to get everywhere.

“Location was excellent so I guess it was a good deal for the price. However, there was a dance club in the lobby playing the most outrageous music all night. Also, both nights I stayed here I came across many very loud patrons who woke me from my sleep, to the point I had to complain.”

  • Location, cleanliness, security, and staff.
  • Room was smaller than expected.

“A solid middle class hotel in Boston's theater district, the Courtyard Marriott is clean, safe, and staffed with helpful people.”

  • Location and cleanliness.
  • Rude doormen, small room, and an expensive parking.

“The rooms are clean but very small. We encounter 3 different doormen who were all very rude. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very good. Kids eats for free. Front desk, very welcoming.”

  • Friendly service and a free cable TV.
  • Dim lighting in bathroom; no ventilation in bathroom; no control of AC or heat.

“This hotel is well located and the staff is very nice and friendly. They helped as much as they could. But the rooms are small, the bathroom had no ventilation and dim lighting. We couldn't control our own thermostat so they sent up an air mover (a fan) which handled the situation. Iron and blow dryer both worked well. Had to use a roll away (no double rooms available)and that was rough!”

  • It's location to the Back Bay Fens area.
  • The elevator broke down trapping me inside for 20 mins before being rescued. The elevator broke down trapping me inside for 20 minutes before being rescued.

“The hotel rooms are very small, without a bath tub and the TV, although a flat screen was mounted in the corner of the room out of view from the bed. The elevator broke down trapping me inside for 20 minutes with 2 other women who were hysterical and couldn't speak English.”

  • Awesome service; front desk, bellman, and a conceirge.
  • I was given a late check out, but it was not honored day of check out.

“Moderate level hotel very convenient to Green and Orange T lines. Wonderful service from staff at all levels and the room was more than adequate. The room was cold (mid Oct) as they hadn't turned heat on but we were promptly given a space heater which worked fine.”

  • Location was close to everything I needed.
  • Great hotel.

“Clean, very polite, very close to everything I wanted, great. Close to subway, close to other large hotels.”

  • Staff , rooms were very clean.
  • There was renovation going on at the hotel and we were not told ahead of time.

“The hotel appeared to be nice, but the front of the building was being renovated so it wasn't a pretty sight. We were on the 8 floor and luckily did not have our window facing the front of the building. For the price we price we paid, we would have gone somewhere else had we known ahead of time.”

  • The hotel was clean and elegant. Front desk service was very good.
  • The room was very small.

“Good quality and good service.”

  • The lobby was breathtaking.
  • The sheets were dirty and no free breakfast.

“The hotel wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. While the hotel lobby was breathtaking, the rooms were okay, and our view was of an adjacent building. Wired Internet access was free (so nice), but wireless was not (not a big deal for me). We had an extra person staying with us, and even though I called ahead and requested a cot, at check-in, the desk manager said the room was "too small for a cot''. So, our buddy slept in the closet. A fire alarm also went off for one hour while we tried to sleep.”

  • Convenient to subway and tourist attractions.
  • Room was extremely small. No bathtub.

“This is a great hotel. It is in the theater district of Boston. Was convenient to sites around the city. It was also very convenient to the Subway. It would not be an ideal hotel if you were traveling with young children.”

  • Location.
  • Construction being done on hotel.

“Construction is currently being done on this hotel. In spite of the construction, our room obviously had not been one that was updated yet: cracking tiles, ripped wallpaper, no water pressure, etc.”

  • The location was excellent.
  • They kept giving us a key that didn't work.

“It was clean and very comfortable.”

  • Free Internet access. Comfortable bed. Housekeeping service. Location.
  • Charged for breakfast I didn't order. Slow elevators. Weak shower. TV not facing the bed.

“Hua, our daily housekeeper was very pleasant. She left thank you notes for her tips.”

  • I didn't like bar.

“Hotel was very good.”

  • Location was excellent
    and right in downtown Boston.
  • Room was very small and parking was $32/ day.

“This was a great hotel that had us right in downtown Boston between Chinatown and the theater district. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel itself is very nice. The room had a king bed which dominated the small size and there was only a shower in the room. My only real complaint was that the cost for parking was 50% of the price.”

  • Good location.
  • Zero parking available.

“Overall the hotel represented good value for the money, but any money you saved by staying here will be spent on parking - approximately $36/night! The buffet breakfast was good and worth the money considering the generally high prices for food in Boston restaurants.”

  • Very convenient to everything!
  • The immediate area of this hotel is questionable and no shuttle.

“Overall, not a bad hotel. I liked it a lot and will stay here again.”

  • Location.
  • Very small room.

“Great location, friendly staff. Nice rooms. However, or king bed room was very small (even for a city room). The room was comfortably & nicely decorated.”

  • Comfortable, soft bed and pillows.
  • Bathroom was not cleaned before we came.

“Hotel did not clean the bathroom when we came in - hair dryer lying over toilet tank, used soap & shampoo in the shower, fewer towels (than usual) hanging in restroom.”
