• The Select comfort beds. Lousy!

“If this hotel had real beds it would have been the best hotel that I have stayed at in the last 6 months. But the air beds are horrible. I've had one at home and got rid of it.”

• Parking was not convenient and did not provide a sense of security.

• Hotel was very clean, good restaurant closely. Comfortable beds.
• Bathroom not arranged well, no grab bars, no countertop. No mirror near desk.

“This is an excellent hotel in an upscale area. Very clean and friendly employees. The bathroom could have been better arranged and made safer. It is a very large hotel and required a good bit of walking to reach the elevator. A good experience though.”

• The first room I had was very small.

“In past visits to this hotel, I had a large room with a balcony and I enjoyed my stay tremendously. This time I was given a small room and then requested and received a larger room where I could see the door (of my hotel room) from bed and I didn't like that. On the plus side, the staff remembers you and your preferences and they try hard to accommodate your room preferences. Of course, this isn't always possible. There is an excellent seafood restaurant at this hotel. However, don't order a Caesar salad from room service; it is practically inedible. Also, the breakfast potatoes from room service are the worst Ive ever had and the look of them is enough to make you lose your appetite. If you get a good room and avoid ordering the wrong foods from room service, this hotel is unbeatable. If you get a bad room, you'll wish you were somewhere else. If you get a larger bad room with a view of the court yard, it is okay and it beats the Marriott courtyard in Pontiac, the Marriott in Southfield, the Hilton in Southfield and the Hilton in Troy.”

• The front desk person remembered me from last time and gave me the same room as last time.
• A maid entered my room at 11:30 on check out day in spite of the do not disturb sign. Both treadmill machines need fixing.

“The hotel has balconies overlooking Woodward avenue. It has a courtyard with a fountain and beautiful flowers. It is connected to one of the best seafood restaurants in Michigan. It has very nice furniture in the rooms. Most of the staff is some of the best hotel employees I have ever encountered. The "no problem" internet connection performs flawlessly.”

• Close to the ice rink, and the comfortable bed.
• The location because we always had to go out of our way to make a left hand turn. Even to go across the street to the restaurant.

• The select comfort bed was a nice change.
• The room smelled and was not very clean.

“OK for one night. The select comfort bed was interesting and a nice change for a hotel room. Our entire floor and our room had a foul odor. Our bathroom could have used a better cleaning. I don't like to walk into a bathroom and find hairs left over from whoever used it last.”

• Staff seemed very arrogant.

“Perfect location, less than a mile from where I was working. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was not very friendly. The check out staff was nicer. The breakfast area took too long. The hotel caters to middle aged men business travelers and as a single woman traveler, I felt kind of odd, but that is the way things often are.”

• The bed and bedding was very comfortable.
• The bathroom was tiny.

“We were in town for a wedding, not "vacation". The hotel was fine for our needs. We just did not realize it was so far from the center of Bloomfield.”

• The room I had did not have sleep number beds like other rooms.

“The hotel and staff are very nice. The hot tub is large and clean, but the indoor pool is not heated. Our winter trip and an unheated pool made for unhappy kids.”

“Given the rating, I was surprised by the dingy interior of this hotel. I placed a room service breakfast request outside my door, which was never picked up. When I called they were quite kind and somewhat quickly remedied the problem, but had I been on a tight schedule this would have been quite a crimp in my day!”
