• very poor upkeep and rooms were dirty like real bad

“I will not stay in this holet again. Somehow your clients need to be able to reject the hotel if they have had a bad experience.”

• Friendly staff, excellent courteous service, amenities, spacious rooms, Courtyard.

“We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times and will continue to go back whenever we are in Minneapolis. The service provided by the staff was way above average. We love the courtyard with picnic tables, chairs and even a gazebo, the spacious rooms, the amenities and the convenient location. Again, the staff is very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Our favorite place to stay!”

“I had to change rooms 3 times before settling in one that suited me. I was stuck in a smoking room 1st, with a neighboring guest who left their TV on all night. I was then put in a room with no heat and when I told the front desk about it, he replied that there was no maintenance crew on duty over the holiday. I had to press to get moved to another room, which stunk of cigarette smoke. I refused that room and ended up in a room in which the heater was either on or off as the thermostat seemed to be inoperative. Neighboring guests ran and shouted in the hallways with little regard for the privacy of others.”

• The garden court was newer and had a nice atmosphere.
• The bed didn't have a mattress pad and the non-smoking room smelled like smoke.

“This is by no means a 2 star hotel! I would barely rate it a 1 star. There was no mattress pad. I could see the mattress through the very thin bottom sheet. I had to ask the desk for towels. When we arrived there was only 1 bath towel and a bath mat in the room--no wash clothes, no hand towels. The ventilation system was rusty and the 2 speed fan only blew 1 speed - low. It was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave, but the door on the freezer was missing. I would not stay at this hotel again and considers a 2 star hotel.”

“Called 3 times to request no smoking room, but no answer. When arrived at hotel staff could not find a room for us, no smoking room stunk, old and dirty. Not enough parking and very poor value.”

• The woman at the front desk tried to be helpful.
• The rooms stunk like smoke, the facility was purported to be non smoking.

“Old tired rooms with smoke infused furnishings. In a neighborhood that has seen better days.”

• The courtyard was very open, clean and light.
• Bed sheets so thin you could see thru them to the cheap mattress below.

“I feel this hotel should be in the one star category. It was a good, clean, cheap room for a one night stay. Room did have a microwave and refrigerator, but dysfunctional air conditioner, cheap sheets and mattress, one pillow per person. Staff was unhelpful in giving directions to local attractions.”

• The staff.
• Old furnishings, dirty, in need of repair.

“This hotel was convenient for me because it was close to my destination. The likelihood of me returning is next to none. The fact that I checked into a room that was not clean and non smoking and there were cigarettes in the room was not acceptable. Also the security men on patrol tried to comfort me with the fact that they carried 45's, not so much. The new room I received was not much better; however it was an "upgrade". This hotel did not meet my standards of excellence.”

• Receptionist was kind enough to wave internet fee this time.
• Normally charges for internet  poor.

• I did not feel safe and this is no where near a 2 star hotel.

“This is not a 2 star hotel. I think 1 star would be pushing it. Several things were broken including the chain (not deadbolt) on the room door. The lobby door was locked after hours but all the other doors around the place were open all night. I did not feel safe there with my children especially at night. There were people yelling at different times and people checking in with no cars and no luggage. Also some people both inside and out in the parking lot that appeared to be gang members. I don't expect first class in a 2 star hotel but I do expect to have a decent room and feel safe staying there and this was neither.”

• I did not like anything it was not even worth to 10 USD a night.
• Bad location and bad overall experience.

• The remodeled shower was very nice. Security was good. Gazebo area is beautiful.
• Very dark and dingy lighting in room and halls. Window to hallway creepy. Pillows small and flat.

“It's in transition in its remodeling phases. What is done is very nice, but some things have yet to be done to make it a bright, airy, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. If you need an affordable bed without ambiance this is the place to stay. Convenient location close to good, affordable restaurants.”

• Near where I had to be.
• Bet on the lobby television.

“Seemed to be a hang out for punk kids in gangster clothes. BET on the lobby television and no ability to change it. OK for a business traveler that only needs a place to sleep, but not good for anything more than that.”
