“In the past I had always stayed at the Hyatt Downtown. This property exceeded the expectations I had become accustomed to while staying in Louisville. The Marriot Downtown is a very nice weekend getaway or business friendly location. Property is located within a short walking distance to a huge variety of restaurants, entertainment, and riverside attractions. One disappointment was the earlier than normal check out time of 11 AM and no option for a later checkout. Our room was a corner room with magnificent views of the city. I will definitely stay at this property again when I return to Louisville for either business or pleasure. Major attributes include: decor, friendly staff, excellent room service menu, dedicated parking garage, location.”

“The Marriot in Downtown Louisville is located near a predominant night spot where I was going to celebrate my birthday.”

“Had it not been for our room location, this would have been a great hotel stay. It really is a very nice hotel, very clean, friendly staff, classy. But we were put in a corner room on the sixth floor that appears to have very poor sound insulation. Not only did we hear street traffic all night, including sirens, but there was a large night club across the street from us (6 Clubs in one block or something like that). We had to listen to the music and base till after 3 AM. It turned a great experience into a night of sleeplessness.”

“Beautiful entry way, great valet parking service, it was close to the attractions downtown but if you wanted to leave you could go just a few miles to the other destinations.”

“Great hotel for Convention Center or downtown activities, much better than the alternatives in the area.”

“Great location and friendly competent staff, but it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. Noise from the hallway didn't seem to be filtered at all by closed door! Other than the night-time noise, we loved our stay.”

“What a beautiful hotel! This brand new facility in Louisville is conveniently located nest to the convention center, and only a short walking distance away from very popular Louisville Downtown attractions. The staff is super friendly, as are most people in Louisville. The 17th floor room we stayed in had an awesome view of the city and the river. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Louisville. And for all you coffee lover, I was told the only Downtown Starbucks is the one located in the Marriott lobby.”

“What a beautiful hotel - particularly for its 3-star rating. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the staff were as gracious and friendly as I have ever seen. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Louisville.”

“This hotel worked out great for us. We would definitely recommend it for anyone attending an event Downtown. It isn't publicized, but if you talk to the concierge for a password you can get free wireless internet access in the lobby area instead of paying for access in the room.”

“Great hotel, beautiful lobby. I spent the night here with my wife and two little ones before the Kentucky Derby Marathon. Staff was very accommodating. Let us check in early and check out late on race day. Biggest complaint would be paying 19 dollars for self service parking as a guest at the hotel. Outrageous. Only other option is to park blocks away in a sketchy parking lot.”

“The hotel was easy to find and located near some great attractions (fourth street live, science museum, slugger museum, glassworks, and a lot more). The overall appearance was great and provided a nice atmosphere. It was your typical 4 stars plus hotel, where you have to pay for everything. The amenities are great but for the budget traveler you might want to park in the back in the public parking lot for $4, instead of the $19-$21 that the hotel charges. Be ready to pay for water and internet in the room. The staff was very nice and considerate to our troubles and offered to upgrade our accommodations for free due to our troubles. I would recommend this to anyone.”

“I like the hotel very much. The price of parking on top of hotel room rental was too high. Would have chose another hotel if I'd known this before I stayed there.”

“The hotel itself was ok. I did desire a little more for a 4 star hotel. Staff was excellent. Nothing in my room matched. A striped bed skirt with un-matching comforter. Gold, brass and silver lamps?” Amenities at Marriott Louisville Downtown, Louisville
