  • This hotel provided a feeling of southern charm in a very convenient location.
  • The layout of the facilities can be a bit confusing.

“This was my second stay at the Executive Inn. The hotel is very clean, has a southern charm to its' decor, and has nice dining facilities available. I'd definitely stay at this property again.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[10]

  • Location - Right at the SDF airport entrance.
  • Older, dark, damp rooms, no hot water!

“This is a sprawling hotel complex with staff that is accommodating, but aloof. Rooms are old, damp, and noise filters from the hallway directly into each room. No hot water (not even warm) in my first room - was moved to different room.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[2]

  • It was cheap.
  • The rooms were nasty and smelled bad.

“This hotel allowed large dogs! The maintenance man told a customer within earshot of me that the hotel is scheduled to be demolished to make a parking lot. The bathroom was so disgusting that we were afraid to take showers. There was a bar soap opened and used on the sink.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was convenient.
  • The hotel was very dated. Our room had wallpaper that was peeling, fixtures that were close to falling down, and chairs with stained upholstery.

“The Executive Inn is in a great location & offers lots of amenities at the hotel. The staff was very friendly & helpful. However, it is in dire need of updating and repairs. I'm sure it was very luxurious 20 or so years ago, but doesn't seem to have been updated since then.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The staff was very accommodating at check-in.
  • One of the rear lobby elevators smelled so bad that we could not get on it.

“The hotel is in dire need of updating.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[10] • Location:[5]

  • Front desk staff was very friendly.
  • Room decor, elevators.

“Hotel is good for families that are visiting Kentucky Kingdom, as a traveler without children or attending a convention, this hotel was not for me.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • It was close to entertainment, that's it.
  • The rooms were outdated with 80's wall paper and decor and the room smelled terrible.

“There is nothing good I can say. People were allowed to sing to the top of their lungs in the halls just because American Idol was there. We were so disappointed in this hotel and will not return.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Check in easy, did not hear the neighbors.
  • At the restaurant the music was way too loud - I could not talk to my husband over the music.

“Over all the stay way good, we would stay again, it is an older hotel, but seems to be well kept but when we get hungry I think we will have go to crackle barrel down the road. The service there was not good and the music was so loud I could not here my husband talking to me. If you are going to six flags, it is right across the street, you could walk if you wanted, so location is great!”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • The hotel was easily accessible to fairgrounds and the interstate.
  • Rooms on first floor very noisy, had room by the exit door, room needs updates.

“Overall good location, room was very noisy, children loud and running in the halls. Ice machine didn't work the first night.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • The garden and pool area.
  • Cleanliness. Rotting wood and old furniture. Dusty.

“This place would be very nice with a healthy face lift. Everything is old and falling apart.”

  • The room had a beautiful court view. Also the room was very spacious in size and I liked how the room had a romantic feeling with the canopy overhang.
  • The bathroom was so small that the bathroom door would not open all the way because of the stool.

“Overall the hotel was very nice and I was impressed on how gigantic it was. The only thing I didn't like as indicated is that the bathroom was small with the stool designed to not allow the door to open all the way. I found out that not all the rooms were like that. Next time I will specify an open door bathroom.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • The staff was friendly.
  • It was old and smelled of mildew.

“The hotel was nice, but old. The positive was that it was safe and in a great general location.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Great location; very helpful, friendly staff.
  • Bathroom could use larger counter space; faucet leaked/wouldn't turn off.

“For the price the hotel was adequate, but could use some updating/sprucing up (paint, etc.). The bathroom was kind of dark and lacked enough counter space and the faucet leaked & would not turn off.”

  • Nothing!
  • Odorous rooms, dirty carpet.

“I would not likely to stay at this hotel ever again. The experience was horrible.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Comfortable room and responsive service.
  • Noise in the hall too easily heard in the room.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Executive Inn. I would stay there again if the need or opportunity arose. The location was excellent for the events I was attending. I would highly recommend the Executive Inn to anyone traveling to Louisville. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[5] • Location:[10]

  • The location was convenient.
  • The room was in disrepair, toilet moldy.

“This hotel was probably a rather nice one, once upon a time. Now it's dingy and in general disrepair, with few power outlets, semi-nonfunctioning lights, moldy toilets, horrendously slow elevators and high speed internet rivaling dial-up.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Good bed.
  • Didn't find anything I didn't like about this hotel.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at a nice, clean hotel. I didn't eat at the restaurant, so can't comment on that. I only stayed one night as I was traveling on business, but had no complaints about anything.”

  • Proximity to Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center.
  • No complimentary breakfast of any kind.

“The hotel was nice, conveniently located, reasonably priced considering proximity to Kentucky Fair Grounds. I would have expected at least a complimentary continental breakfast.”

  • The pools & workout room were terrific.

“The accommodations were what I'd expect of a much higher star level hotel. I'd love to stay here again with my family. With both an indoor and an outdoor pools my family loved it.”
