• The location.
• The bathroom was dirty. There were very limited towels. Awful service.

“The location was great and the pool was nice. Beyond those two positives, my family and I had an awful experience at the hotel. Our bathroom was very dirty and was not cleaned well during our 4 day stay. We had very limited towels and the very thin sheets on the beds continued to slide off the bed. The breakfast should hardly be considered a breakfast. It was very limited.”

• I liked the location.
• The room was not clean.

“Perhaps I had an isolated experience, but the room was a mess. The trash cans were nasty, hair was in the shower drain, the mirror was not clean. Everything had a layer of dust, and the TV/refrigerator were streaky.”

• The gentlemen in charge was very helpful. The computer that was for guests was not working right and the mgr. allowed use his to check mail.
• I could have slept better had the sheets been fitted.

“The few days were delightful thanks in part to the management. He allowed us to check in early, going out of his way to make us happy. We were and will be come back again.”

• Parking lot lights were shining on room windows, pool door (smell, kid danger), room service doesn't knock.

“Close to racetrack and a few restaurants (walking distance to one). It was very clean and the staff was friendly. I guess I'm reiterating here but the pool door was prop open for some reason and the first and second floor (didn't go up any farther) smelled of chlorine, not to mention the fact that a child could've easily wondered in the pool and drown. The parking lot is lit up like a ballpark, which is good for security; however, instead of being place on the hotel and shining away from windows, you guess it, they shine right at them. We pin the curtain to the wall to block the light, Wal-Mart is right around the corner too.”

• Convenience.
• First floor smelled strongly of chlorine.

“I was a little disappointed for the price but have nothing else to compare it to in Ruidoso. The continental breakfast was not up to par. Everything was very low and it took a good 45 minutes for someone to put out fresh items. It was very clean.”

• The location was okay.
• Continental breakfast was slim, swimming pool out of commission, plastic coffee cups in room, no towels, hard bed.

“The room and hotel were clean. The amenities were economy level, we did not receive any towels for the second day, there were plastic cups for coffee, continental breakfast choices were slim. We did not get to swim because the pool was being cleaned.”

• Privacy was nice as well as comfort.
• The smell of chlorine was overwhelming.

• Check in was friendly and easy.
• At check out there was no one at the front desk. There was no extra roll of toilet paper in the rest room.

“The hotel was clean and has very friendly staff, the room was neat and clean, the breakfast meal was adequate the morning clerk needs a little more training on her job responsibilities. The clerk should not leave the front desk unattended.”

• Bed was missing top sheet, very little left for breakfast at 9:30am.

• Management was rude; beds horrible, keys had to be reeked every day.

“This hotel is in a great location, close to the race track, casinos and just a couple of minutes easy drive to midtown Ruidoso. There is a nice Denny's next door. The beds are like sleeping on cardboard. The manager/owner? Was rude, acted hostile. Would not give me a room with 2 beds although plenty were available, wanted me to rebook thru him at higher rate.”

• Great location next to Dennys.
• Very uncomfortable mattress. They need to change the mattresses!

“We were pleased with our stay at this Ramada but they could have had a better mattress. I'd give the hotel a 10 on location, friendly staff and appearance. The shower and water pressure was great unlike allot of hotels that force you to take a shower with that water saver device.”

• Bed comfortable, clean, good location, receptionist very friendly.
• No wash cloths in the room, telephone did not work, breakfast was incomplete, no fruit , nobody present at the front desk from 6:30-7:30, sign said.

“The hotel was generally clean. The location was close to the Mescalero Apache reserve. The non-smoking room was on the same floor with smoking rooms. The front desk was unattended during the breakfast hour. We wanted to ask for directions, but a sign said the attendant was checking the grounds from 6:30-7:30. The breakfast lacked anything healthy: no fruit, no whole grain breads, all cereal was sugared, etc. I ate nothing since I am watching my health.”

• It was very clean and well decorated.
• We were hassled because there were four of us rather than 2, and were made to pay an additional cost because we had our two children with us.

“The owners were from a foreign country and wee hard to communicate with. The woman (wife) hassled us because we had our daughters, 15 and 12 with us. She kept saying "reservation is for 2". She threatened to tell the manager on us if we didn't pay the extra for the two beds. We said one bed was fine, but she said we had to have two beds if we have four people. She made us feel uncomfortable and not welcome.”
