• It was quite a surprise how nice this hotel actually was when we got there.
• I needed to be directed to the breakfast area, because I couldn't find it.

“The room was very big, with comfortable beds, and a big bathroom, too. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise. However, the lobby of the hotel was not as impressive it just lacked some style.”

• Continental breakfast and entire kitchenette in each room.
• Staff was never at the front desk, very bad gym.

“Hotel is good for business travelers staying for at least a week or more at a time. There is a full kitchenette in each room. Hotel gym is pretty bad, but you can pay $5 and use another local facility. Easy access onto I94.”

• The kitchenette was nice.
• The beds were uncomfortable and the glasses were dirty.

“Nice hotel behind a Cracker Barrel. The kitchenette was nice as was the bathroom. The only negative was the glasses were dirty and the beds were uncomfortable.”

• Easy to find location.
• Rooms smelled bathrooms very dirty, rough craftsmanship in the rooms, poor heating and cooling.

“The first room they gave us smelled terrible and the second one was just as bad. It wasn't until the third room did we feel like it was manageable. Showers had a dark residue on the bottoms and the office chair had rips in it. Everywhere you look it seemed like it very poor craftsmanship. Hard to believe the hotel is in such bad shape since it was built in 2004. I would not stay here again.”

• Very convenient location, friendly staff.
• Bathrooms could use updating.

“This hotel is perfect for families or for business travelers going to the lake Michigan area. It has a very convenient location and the room was fairly quiet. The full kitchen was nice to have.”

• The small but well stock pantry was great.
• Someone not being on front desk upon arrival.

“Everything about my stay at the candlewood suites was good. The bed was awfully comfortable and having nice plump pillows was a bonus. I would definitely stay with them again.”

• The staff was very friendly. There was a DVD and free movies to rent along with a "pantry" that you could purchase food from for a low price.
• Our room did smell like smoke and was supposed to be nonsmoking
