• Tub insert was cracked, room smelled, public areas were not particularly clean.

“I was not too impressed. Should be rated a 1 star at best.”

• Lower priced for the area.
• You get what you pay for.

“Hotel was in decent area. Not the fanciest of hotels. Good for a 1 or 2 day trip. No hotel restaraunt or bar area. Location of hotel was a little suspect.”

• Clean rooms comfortable beds and
  nice breakfast.
• Flea market restaurant nearby just ok.

“If you want a hotel near the Westport bars this will be great for you. The restaurant below (Flea Market) is on the room service menu. It left much to be desired. The menu in the room has not been updated for some time according to the clerk at the front desk.
”

• The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
• Was to much noise coming from the street and hallway.

“I would stay there again but get a room facing the back of the building off of the street side. Breakfast was good but, the juice machine was not working.”

• Room amenities not replaced, breakfast mediocre.

“Good for a quick business travel but not recommended for more than one night. The hot breakfast was never completely read, cold items not fresh. Room amenities (shampoo, etc) not replaced daily. Scary elevator.”

• The hotel staff knew how to give directions around town very accurately.
• Difficult to find.

“Very nice place to spend a weekend anniversary. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, knew exact directions for a variety of locations. Close to Plaza and the hip Westport district with lots of cute shopping and good restaurants.”

• It was close to an area with lots to do.
• Parking seemed limited at times.

“We were treated like royalty, special arrangements were made for an extra person in our party. We had a great time and we could not have been treated any better by all we came in contact with.”

• The location is great. Right in Westport and close to the plaza.
• No direction from staff was given when a fire alarm went on at 5:30 am.

“I am a repeat customer at this hotel. The location is great for Westport nightlife and Country Club Plaza shopping. The staff has always been friendly. They changed my room from a double to a king with no problem. There's plenty of well lit, free parking in their lot. The best burgers in KC are right next door at the Flea Market.”

• The staff was very friendly and good location.
• The hotel was dirty and smelled.

“The hotel was in a good location, near good restaurants and not far from the Plaza. The room was comfortable except that it was not very clean. The windows throughout the hotel were filthy and the hallway smelled bad and cigarette smoke. The gym was okay except that it was hot and there was no access to thermostat. For the price, it was ok.”

• Very dirty, very old and falling apart.

“Property is located fairly well if you want to be in Westport, but that is the only positive aspect to this hotel. Bed linens were stained. Requested some new pillows to replace the stained ones on the bed and received one with a very fresh, very nasty stain on it. Person who delivered it just shrugged when it was pointed out, they did not speak any english. Shower did not drain, took over an hour for it drain after a shower. TV was old, going bad and very few channel selections available. Would not recommend this property.”

• The staff did everything in there power to make the stay great. Excellent staff.
• The parking lot was shared with patrons or the bar next door. I had to park farther away from the hotel didn't feel very safe in that respect.

“The hotel was in a location that didn't require me to get on the highway to get around the city and I thought that this was very nice. I thought that the staff was of the highest quality and skill and they were very quest attentive. The room was very clean and well kept, I can't say one bad thing about this hotel. Okay, the exercise room was very hot and we couldn't get it cooled off. If I were to visit this city again I would have no problem staying at this hotel again.”

• The room was very nice and it was quiet. Also a central location to many things.
• No fan in the bathroom. Parking was hard to find in the evening.

“Even though Westport in Kansas City isn't the safest area, the motel seemed very safe.”

• Having access to a computer, which made it easy to keep in touch back home.
• The area wasn't not safe to walk around in the p.m. Many bars pubs.

“Because we were needing our room cleaned, vacuum and towel rack repair, it took time from us having to report and not wanting to leave our room unoccupied.”

• The bed was nice, towels were thick and soft. Staff was very polite.
• The bathroom was very outdated and didn't seem very clean. There was a used washcloth from the previous guest still hanging in the shower!
