“Would stay here again...”

“The hotel was nice. The room was big and clean. The guest services helped us when we asked for extra items (for our comfort, but the room was supplied adequately). It is in a questionable neighbor and doesn’t look like it belongs there, however if you look around, you can see they are trying to renovate the neighborhood. The pool was a little small but area was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again with my kids.

“No parking fees. Clean. Good security but questionable neighborhood - but that's most of STL downtown. Love the hot breakfast and the good bedding!”

“Very pleased with my experience at this hotel. It had everything I expected and was a short distance to the downtown area.”

“The location was fantastic! We were right off of the highway and minutes away from the zoo, the science center and the arch! The staff was friendly and basically treated you like family. They gave us directions around the construction, even though they sent us the wrong way to the Zoo, it was appreciated! Breakfast was not that great. Bagels, Danishes, juice, coffee, instant oatmeal and cereal were the basic choices. The rooms were clean and well kept.”

“We traveled with our grandchildren and it was great. The only negative comment about our stay is that the air quality in the pool area was poor, with no circulation, just chlorine smell.”

“Don't let the lack of stars deceive you! This hotel is located just minutes from dozens of St. Louis attractions, restaurants, and night spots. The rooms are spacious, clean, and come with free Wi-Fi. The beds are one of the best features of the room, as Holiday Inn has replaced the old, outdated comforters with crisp, white, quality linens. They also provide free breakfast which includes a vast array of hot and cold items, including beverages.”

“The staff was excellent. The room quality was pretty good. The location was terrible. It is next to the ghetto and fenced in. My girlfriend was terrified.”

“It was nice for single business people. Room was dirty, no place to eat there or near by. Had an indoor pool, but the place was very out dated.”

“Hotel was decent. The location was convenient, however the gas station located in front of the hotel attracted numerous nefarious characters, but my car was in plain view from the hotel window so my worries were minimal.”

“This hotel provides a much better experience than its stars would indicate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clean, well kept up, and spacious. The complementary breakfast bar was way more than a bagel and coffee that you find a lot of places. The free wifi connection was easy to use and performed well. The only down-side was that the neighborhood where the hotel is located is a bit run down and there are no nearby grocery stores. If you're looking for a good place to stay without all the pretentious trappings of the "upscale" hotels, this is it.”

“Nice room, but no mini fridge. Great complimentary breakfast. Did not use the pool, but looked nice, though small. Gated parking lot, but tight spaces.”

“I found the total hotel good; the only problem I could see was that in some ways the neighborhood did not feel safe. However, at breakfast there were several police officers that stopped into the hotel to check it out.”

“This Holiday Inn was the cleanest I've ever been in. Great "continental" breakfast. Hot and cold food. The employees were incredibly helpful, never felt like I was being a bother, especially Brett and the manager (forgot her name). The hot tub was out of order, but who wants to hang at the pool while in a new town. The neighborhood on one side was upper middle-class, on the other was lower, could make some uncomfortable, but they are cleaning up the area and making renovations. Also, they make the best chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. Very addictive, you've got to try them.”
