“All I can say is run for your life. Bugs, filth, rude.”

“We stayed at the Hamilton for Christmas, and it was very nice. The room was clean, and the ladies that worked there were very helpful. My husband slipped and fell on the floor in a nearby store down the street. The people at the store did not care, but the people at the Hamilton offered to take my husband to the emergency room. They took us there and waited for the doctor to stitch my husband up for almost 5 hours. We will go back again and again. .”

“We really had a good time. The hotel was spotless. I think the housekeepers are from the Caribbean or something. They even made swans on my bed. The desk was very helpful, too. They gave us a toothbrush when we forgot ours. We stayed on our anniversary, and they gave a free welcome basket in our room. It was a pleasant surprise. We will come back every year for our anniversary. ”

“Horrible hotel. Horrible staff. Noisy rooms. There really isn't much good to say about this place. They don't make their money on return customers.”

“We received a non-smoking room and when we got walked in the balcony door was open. The room had a very strong smell of cigarette. Smoke for both nights of our stay.”

“We were very satisfied with our stay, they even let us check in a little early then the regular check in time. They had plenty to eat for breakfast.”

“The Hamilton Inn Select is a fine hotel if you like getting woke up at six in the morning by loud and obnoxious people. Over all the stay was not that enjoyable. I did not receive the room that I wanted but they did accommodate me with another room.” 0 of 2 people found this review helpful.

“My wife and I stayed there last month. We reserved a room with a 2 person hot tub with Lakeview. The staff did not acknowledge us for 10 minutes when we tried to check in. The whole hotel is very old looking in the inside. We expected a lot more for it being mackinaw city. The room was dirty. Their was hair still in the bathroom and dirt in the tub. Also the free breakfast was terrible. Hard biscuits and bagels. Overall, we were not impressed. We won't be returning there.” 4 of 5 people found this review helpful.

“We stayed there for our honeymoon in Sept'05. As soon as we saw our room we wanted to leave so we left & found another hotel then came back to tell them this. This was about a hr. later. They ask why & we said the room was dingy & very dirty. The hot tub had dirt on it & there was hair in the bathroom. They offer us another room but we would have to stay b/c we signed a contract. It was our honeymoon & we wanted to stay somewhere cleaner. The hotel sounded good from the ads but it wasn't what we expected. We ended up staying the 1st 2 nts but got out the 3rd day because we could cancel it within their 48 hr policy. The hotel mgr, Joe called our room and argued that anyone could use the room & then try to check out. As if we were lying about not liking our room!! He said we signed a contract & called me a child. No, I'm not kidding!!! We I will NEVER stay there again! We hope that you don't either!” 7 of 8 people found this review helpful.Amenities at Hamilton Inn Select, Mackinaw City
