• The food is excellent the staff are wonderful and accomodating and the views are lovely.
• No coffee maker or mini bar in the room, that said, the room service was good but not everything was available that was on the menu.

“A wonderful, cozy place to stay, very comfortable, wonderful staff, privacy,and was quiet. The restaurant and bar are wonderful with a great outdoor patio for dining and sunbathing. There is also a lovely walking trail.”

• Close to major freeway.
• Musty rooms.

“For a 4-star, I was disappointed in the room. The room smelled like it was formerly the employee smoking lounge. All other areas were fine.”

• Very clean and modern, Great lake to walk around!
• The computers were old, slow and unreliable PC's. Get a MAC!

“We were there to watch our daughter play soccer for NDNU. It was the perfect location with a beautiful little lake to walk around. Very modern feel and look, comfortable rooms and great little snack bar/coffee shop. It would have been nice if there were some other shops and restaurants within walking distance but you had to drive 4-8 minutes to get anywhere since it was in a complex owned by Oracle.”

• The hotel was clean.
• There were no sheets on the bed, there was no blanket, we had no coffee pot.

“Staff doesn't seem to be interested in quality. Our room had no sheet or blanket on the bed. There was no coffee pot in the room. 4 stars? I think not.”

• The lobby was very modern and nice.
• Room decor was not as modern.

“Lobby is pretty sensational. Room decor was ok, not like the decor of lobby. Beds are great. Restaurant was way too expensive.”

• Shuttle service is really poor it just only one shuttle and operate their shuttle only per hour.

“Actually I don't want to recommend this hotel. Hotel staffs give poor service but just want tip. And we ate breakfast at the restaurant. It was really uneasy. I haven't had that kind of dishes ever.”

• The waffle served in the restaurant for breakfast.
• $13 house drink.

“We started out with a dirty bar of soap in our shower - got another room - got a free cocktail, so we went down to enjoy it - told we could have a house drink or beer - ordered another one and shocked that a house drink was $13.00 - crazy. It's not the money, it's the ridiculous amount for a small cocktail. Rooms were ok. You don't need the heavy bed coverings in the summer - do like the European coverlets and hand washcloths that they use in Europe. The waffle we had for breakfast was to die for- ordered another one. I originally asked for San Francisco airports and this Redwood city hotel comes up - not too close to the SFO airport - you think.”

• Wonderful lake, wonderful ammenities, wonderful restaurants, wonderful people, beautiful room.
• I counldn't stay longer.

“The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel was just 14 miles from the airport. The restaurant was wonderful. The hotel had a nice lake with a sidewalk to provide a romatic walk with my girlfriend. The hotel accommodations were very helpful and easy to use. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family.”

• I liked the gym and the pool.
• There are dusty areas in the bathroom (scratched toilet seat, dusty vent, and light).

“I would like to suggest the hotel to switch some lights to compact fluorescent light bulbs so it is more eco friendly.”

• Nice area. Felt safe to take a walk in the early morning or after dark.
• No coffee maker in the room. Minibar cost was not clearly marked.

“Over all we had a great stay over there. The staff is friendly and the area seems nice. It might be a little bit inconvenient if you don't have a car though. Since this is the first time we stayed in Sofitel, we were not sure whether the bottle water left in the room (during turn down service) is free or not. Also, the price of the items in the minibar was not marked (Are they free? We are still not sure). Overall, I will still recommend the hotel.”

• The lower level public spaces were absolutely beautiful. Bar staff was wonderful.
• The hotel rooms can use some updating. The restaurant staff could be a little friendlier.

“Overall, it is a nice hotel. Would definitely visit again. Location a bit out of the way - in the middle of a business area.”
