“Loved the tropical theme, complete with a Trader Vic's next door!”

“The room's furnishings reminded me of my first furnished college apartment- 20 years ago. While the room was clean, it was cheaply and poorly decorated. The shower was small with a head 6 inches below my own (I'm only 5'8")! It was very noisy and I did not feel the least bit safe at this property. I didn't even dare walk across the parking lot to the hotel's restaurant. I ordered room service for dinner and it was one of the worst dinners I have ever had. Even the cheesecake was bad.”

“Good for business travel, with easy internet access in rooms and business center where printing boarding passes is quick and simple. Some rooms are set back from highway. Amenities are standard. Beds/pillows comfortable. On site restaurants for breakfast and dinner.”

“The staff was fine, and the room seemed clean enough. But, if you're like me and just looking for a good place to stay there are better values for the money. This hotel is old, so there are few modern conveniences. TV was old, fuzzy. The heat in the room simply wouldn't go off, so it was too hot and very hard to regulate. Of course, as a business traveler in February, it was dark when I arrived in the evening and dark when I left in the morning - so I didn't get to see any of the "lush gardens". The buildings are set up in a confusing maze, and hard to figure out where to park and how to access your room. Down the road at the grand hotel, you get a huge, modern room and a free breakfast buffet. Stay there if you can.”

“I didn't actually stay at this hotel. I made a reservation based on a review I read and the hotel desk clerk's description that the hotel was "paradise." It was described as having lush Japanese gardens, two pools, luxurious accommodations. This is an old hotel, and maybe I didn't give it a fair chance. The staff was very nice, but our room had stained carpet and an orange decor that reminded me of the 60's or Austin Powers. I also dislike hotels such as this where the rooms are entered from outside, like a motel. I ended up staying happily at the Westin.”
