  • Atmosphere, decor, and location.
  • Room service kept forgetting to replace things.

“Clean, crisp, layed out beautifully.”

  • Hotel surroundings, landscaping.
  • When I arrived they said all the king bed rooms were taken, although the parking lot was 30 percent full.

“We made our reservation and they accepted our price. When we arrived they said there were no king bed rooms available. The parking lot was at a max 30 percent full and we arrived late that evening. All indications were the hotel was at 30 percent occupancy.”

  • Location/views, room amenities.
  • Grounds poorly marked at night, hard to find room.

“The resort is located in Ventana Canyon and has gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. The manicured green golf course and shimmering lake make a striking contrast to the reds and yellows of the mountains. Hiking trails, pools and golf are great options for the physically active traveler. Rooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable and modern in feel. Plush robes are provided in the rooms and the toiletries are first rate. buffet breakfast was excellent (choices, quality) though pricey.”

  • Setting and amenities were great.
  • Wasn't posted that each time you used the internet, you were charged 10.95.

“While
I liked the hotel and the grounds, the extra charges were not noted and
I was not aware of them until
I was ready to checkout.”

  • Good place for hiking, views.
  • Too far from things other than hiking, golf

“Beautifully designed. Green hotel that offers bottled water from Fiji! That is not too green at all!”

  • The Ventana Resort was in a great place.
  • Nothing I did not like.

“I would return in a heart beat. We did not spend much time there, because of our other plans. But there is no doubt we could have.”

  • Beautiful setting.
  • A little far out from Tucson activities.

“Would always stay there. Good price for quality.”

  • Gorgeous views, abundant wildlife, unbelievable beds and great baths.
  • Bar menu needed to be expanded and more general.

“Commitment to excellence encompassed our stay at Louis. The staff and facility is one of the most romantic, golfer friendly, and was relaxing an atmosphere as one would ever want.”

  • Just one word - Exceptional.
  • Just one word - nothing.

“Incredibly beautiful property and location, all upscale everything. Activity area (pool, etc.) was significant in size and perfect for families or for simple lounging. Food service was a bit spendy, but well prepared. Service was exceptional. An excellent choice for anyone traveling to the Tucson, AZ area.”

  • The surrounding area was incredible! Waterfall right there on property! Gorgeous!

“Beautiful! A high end resort with beautiful panorama views. The observation deck was an incredible view of the City of Tucson. We explored and found an 80 foot waterfall only yards away from the main grounds. Impeccable grounds and exquisite decor. I loved our stay here and will be going back again!”

  • Spacious rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds!
  • $9 parking fee when lot was 75% empty, seemed like utility doors were slamming all night.

“Overall, this resort hotel was more than satisfactory. It's a bit of a maze to figure out at first, and I would therefore not recommend to someone who has difficulty walking, but that also provided privacy and exercise, so we actually liked it.”

  • View.
  • Unable to use coffee maker in room.

“Enjoyed the view and beds were very comfortable but I was not able to get the coffee maker to work for the 2 days I stayed there. Housekeeping came by to early to clean the room.”

  • It exceeded our expectations. Simply Put.
  • The shower door allowed water to leak out during use.

“Although the hotel's location was further than we expected, it was an excellent presentation in terms of staff friendliness and overall hotel comfort and cleanliness. By far one of best hotels/resorts we have ever experienced and will definitely consider another stay in the future.”

  • I liked that they had an adult only pool and the beautiful trails.
  • The Ventana Room was closed and it seemed older.

“Nice hotel but was built in 1984 so it could use some updating. The trails were absolutely beautiful. We also really enjoyed that there was an adult only pool since the other pool was packed with kids.”

  • Beautiful view of city lights.

“The room was amazing, the view was breathtaking of the city and the mountains. The bathroom had a huge 2 person tub. The hotel grounds had trails with all the desert landscaping leading you to the waterfall in the back of the resort. The lounge/bar area was great, the food was excellent and the live Jazz singer and piano player were great. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, even when I got sick on my trip, security opened the store at night and delivered some much needed medicine to our room.”

  • The location and scenery is fantastic!
  • Our room had several large bugs!!

“The man that checked us in was quite rude. He was snooty and acted as though I had gotten my room for free and proceeded to say "OH, you go the room through Priceline." This was in a very sarcastic manner. He then charged us for parking and we asked when this came in affect because we stayed in the same hotel through Priceline in March and we did not have to pay for parking. All he said was, "I have been working here 4 years, and we have always charged for parking and I will not go back and not charge you for it!" Our room had several large bugs (mosquitos, large spiders, etc.). I am glad we didn't take our daughter with us as this is kind of dangerous....”
