• Clean and comfortable. Close to shopping and U of A.
• Bathroom door was damaged.

• Staff, location.
• Could use upgrades. Tub was old and stained. Carpet, paint, etc.

“Pleasant staff, great location. Overall, it's due for some cosmetic upgrades. It was probably looking its best about 10 years ago.”

• Nothing.
• There was blood on the sheets and bed mattresses.

“This hotel was the worst! We got to our room and we liked the fact it was a suite, but the room smelled old and the floor had not been vacuumed in months. The pull out bed had old bedding stuffed inside it. There was blood on the sheets and on the mattresses. I contacted hotel management and they yelled at us saying it was not blood it was rust. Clearly we can tell the difference. It was embarrassing and then they offered us a banana split.”

• I liked the atmosphere and the room was aesthetically nice.
• We went to rest for the weekend. We were encountered with a toilet that was leaking and the floor was covered with toilet water. Toilet wasnt working.

“We were very unhappy with the managers response to our problem at their hotel. Our first day there after flushing the toilet there was toilet water all over the floor and the toilet did not work. It was 11:15 am when I called to report it. I decided to leave for a couple of hours, so my husband could take a nap. They sent someone up to check out our problem and he said he would have to go to the store to purchase a toilet ring. My husband waited and waited. I returned in a little over 2 hrs. Still nothing had happened. I called again and the receptionist was not very friendly, I asked to speak to the manager and she said she would be back in 20 minutes or so. I received a call from the housekeeping manager and she said she would see what she could do to compensate us for our trouble. I waited and waited, then I called again and it was the manager. She said well all we can do is move you to another room. She came up to drop off the keys and I asked her will she give us a discount for all this incontinence and she just walked away, without saying anything. By this time it is about 4 pm and we have to gather all our things and move. This was not what we intended to go for. This was a wasted day and time for us and they just had an "oh well attitude". We were very unhappy with their unprofessional response to us as consumers. I asked for a receipt and she said I couldn't get one. Is this legal? I asked her for the corporate office number and all she gave me was a business card for the Visconte Hotel. We will never agree to stay there again.”

• Breakfast! Suite size. Suite amenities.
• Showing its age - could be cleaner.

“The hotel is showing its age. Chunks out of the walls, paper peeling and the carpets do need steam cleaning. The breakfast buffet is a big magnet for me at this hotel for the value and the quality. Size of the suites, amenities such as fridge, microwave, and coffee maker all add up to an excellent place to stay. Closer attention to cleaning would be welcomed. All in all I will return and happily.”

• Breakfast buffet was included in the room price and it was good.
• They gave us the last room on the top floor next to the ice machine and the soda machine. - Probably their least attractive location.

“The hotel was clean, somewhat reasonably-priced. Check-in was quick. Staff was courteous.”

• The service was so good, they were very friendly.
• The room was so dirty.

“I didnt like the room, the carpet was very dirty, my kids were playing and his hands and socks were black. Near the TV it was an open bottle of body lotion and dry coffee.”

• Wedding layout.
• No yogurt, cottage cheese nor oatmeal for breakfast.

“I found the rooms some what dark so I could not tell how clean they were. They could use more decors. Overall I would stay at the viscount again.”

• Roomy, nicely decorated, breakfast was excellent.
• No gift available, conference room was too cold, debris in the hallway, the spa was not working, and staffs were so in their delivery.

• The breakfast was great-especially the omelets made to order!
• Pool area needed towels and cleaning-general appearance could have been better.

“The suite we stayed in was comfortable (although the mattresses were a bit to firm for my taste) and we had conveniences such as a microwave, refrigerator, hairdryer and coffee maker. The atrium area is beautiful. The breakfast omelets were delicious and the cook who prepared them was very friendly! The bar staff was friendly but there was no nightlife going on there. The pool and spa were fun but could use a little attention to detail in the upkeep of the surroundings.”
