“It was very nice. Location good for me. Hotel staff very nice. Restaurant good. Rooms were very, very nice.”

• The location was great and the staff very friendly. Also the sheets & towels were great!
• Carpet was a little stained & could use a little updating. Curtains over sheers do not close allowing light in.

“This hotel was economical and in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bedding and towels were great. Oh the down side, the carpet could stand to be upgraded and the room was very basic. The kitchenette and dressing area were great to have. The curtains that go over the sheers did not close (were not made to close), so sunlight came in early in the morning. Also there was a lot of street noise (garbage trucks, traffic) and construction noise early in the morning (not the hotel's fault, but annoying anyway).”

• Location.

“This hotel was very convenient for our stay in DC. We were there on vacation with three children over the 4th of July holiday. This hotel met all our needs. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Would stay again!”

• Location is good and the minibar is very helpful.
• It was fine.

“The hotel location is great, 15 minutes walking distance from the white house and the Lincoln memorial, 10 minutes away from the metro station. The room is clean and spacious.”

• Liked the full kitchen, free high speed internet, and location.
• Small lobby.

“Great location on the outskirts of George Wash University, easy walking distance to Metro. The full kitchen and convenient CVS next door open 24 hours made it easy to have breakfast cheap in the room. Nice new flat screen TVs. High speed internet access was free and reliable. Fitness room was clean but small. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was full, but quiet for sleeping.”

• Fantastic location, moderately priced.
• No oven or microwave in kitchenette.

“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this hotel. The staff was always kind and courteous whenever we asked for anything. The cost of parking in their garage was a bit steep at $30 a night but in Washington, DC.”

• The bell man really gave me the details I needed to know, which was helpful.
• I left my night gown and robe by accident and when I called back for my clothing, I was told that the items werent there. The two were expensive.

“It is an old building but was kept up very well. The kitchenette was clean the bath was very nice. Overall the trip went well except for loosing my night gown and robe.”

• Great location and large rooms.
• A little old fashion: the furniture and design, but it was clean.

“This hotel is perfect for the price. Its location could be better, and the staff was very polite and helpful. It was a little old fashion and my room a settled smell like it hasn't been used in a while. No biggie, it cleared up soon after I unpacked. Highly recommended.”

• Too much noise on the first floor rooms.

• It was very good to tour at Washington, DC by walk.
• Parking fee was some expensive.

• The room was perfect actually better than expected.
• The parking. they wanted 27.00 a day to use the parking garage.

“This hotel had the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. everything was in walking distance. The hotel was very clean and professionally ran. When we arrived everything was ready for us. we had no problem getting in our room. The room was really more than we expected . We were very satisfied.”

• Clean good location good food suites.
• No EMAIL in Room --- terrible gap in this age of wireless.

• The room was nice, included a kitchen and powder room, and free Internet.
• The lobby near my room was closed so I had to lug my bags through the garage, to the other building to check in and out.

“The State Plaza was nice, located in a safe-seeming area where I could park on the street for free. The room was spacious and included some nice details. I was able to get it cheaply ($60) which is essential because otherwise I would not have stayed there.”

• Try to be more considerate to the customers.

“Except sometimes I am not able to get prompt response from the hotel service, in general it is very nice. Wonderful location, nice and big room, good breakfast.”

• Very convenient to work.
• Looked like bathroom hadn't been updated.

“Perfect for my needs. Had a kitchen with full size fridge and a stove. No microwave or oven. Certainly roomy and the free internet access was a huge plus.”

• The manager was so nice and the room was clean.
• Not so good to visit museum area and the reception was small.

“Hotel was not prepared to check me in; staff consistently unhelpful getting a cab in what is a very inconvenient location. room is very clean but spare and utterly without charm; Internet hook up difficult to use. this is a fine, clean, budget hotel, but only for trips when you don't expect to be spending much time in the hotel!”
