• Location and for us was a very nice place to stay.
• Did not like to pay for parking, need to change this.

“This is more like a two star hotel. Rooms older and and just reasonably clean. Pipes vibrated and made strange noises.”

• Its beach location.
• The food was not good and poorly prepared.

“It's an old hotel that was recently renovated. The rooms are larger than newer hotels but they are not kept as clean as they should considering the star rating. The bathrooms are very small and there is no vanity space. On the positive side, the mattresses are comfortable.”

• Next to the ocean.
• Very poor upkeep, paint peeling, and bad passageways.

“Although a four star upscale hotel, the room and general appearance left a lot to be desired. The walls, doors, trim and hallways were all in disrepair and in need of painting. The passageways to and from the parking area are poorly designed and you feel like you are being guided into an underground cave adventure instead of a four star lobby. It is obvious this hotel is on a survival budget and is just waiting to make their money during Bike Week at Daytona Beach. The hotel may look like a 4 star to intoxicated bikers but when they sober up in the morning it is just an overpriced 2 star which happens to be on the ocean.”

• Good price.

“Three nights four days was enough. The staff were friendly and for the age of the hotel it was accommodating. There was a strong odor of mold in s are the lobby and common areas and the elevators did not work properly. The parking garage is not a welcoming place for fine automobiles. Rooms are clean however the bathrooms need maintenance. Coffee would be a nice touch in the rooms for breakfast.”

• View of ocean from hotel.
• Too much smoking on the premises at the pool.

“Very good, but too much smoking, did not get an ocean view only if we had paid more money; too loud on the street side with all of the traffic on Atlantic ave. Also, our bathroom door would not close properly and the sink drain stoppper did not work for contac lenses.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The garage parking lot and it's entrance was old and dated.

“Looks great on the outside and there are sections of the lobby that are very pretty. The garage entrance was less than impressive. The bed was very comfortable but the bath was small with no counter.”

• Lobby was impressive at checkin, very elegant and upscale.
• Pool tile was very oily and dirty from sediment in the pool. If you leaned against the tile it soiled your bathing suit.

“This was a very well kept , well-designed resort. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I loved the huge 52 in flat screen TV and granite counter tops. The pool area was very large with a great view of the ocean. The snack bar was well covered so you could eat and there was a television. There were covered cabannas by the pool so if someone wanted to be out of the sun or they had a baby they were taken care of.”

• This is the 2nd nicest hotel on the beach in Daytona.
• It is really individual condos, the staff could not help with an absurd problem.

“The hotel rooms are individually condos. For some reason, my room, which faced the lights of the strip/main drag, had room darkening shades that did not cover the whole window! It left about 3 feet exposed to the glare of the street. They have had complaints about this in the room before but cannot fix it because the room owner does not want to spend the money. Absolutely absurd, never heard of a situation like this.”

• Location.
• Elevator did not work.

“Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Had a lot of amenities and the location was great but had the appearance of an older hotel that was remodeled 10 or so years ago. The room was adequate but the sliding door did not close totally, air conditioning unit looked unsafe with electrical cords showing. Only 1 elevator worked on busy Sat. Took 45 minutes to get elevator to room. I got the impression that it breaks down often. Staff was exceptional and appreciative of quests. Very, very helpful and courteous.”

• Great ocean view.
• No vale parking. We had go to 3 location to find a parking spot.

“The hotel lobby was elegantly decorated. The room was furnished with attractive dark color wood. Unfortunately, the furniture was dusty and the bathroom sink leaked water into the hallway. The parking situation was the worst I had ever experienced, we had to drive to 3 different location to park because they permitted a wedding party to park at their main parking building.”

• The shower walls, I could see film, residue or something on it from the toilet.

“The staff was friendly and professional. The resort was beautiful. Room service was prompt. We had a great time there & would return again. Parking did seem to be an issue though. Once you did get a spot you were afraid to leave it.”

• Very convenient to shops and restaurants.
• Took 2 phone calls to get glass picked up off our side walk.

“Very nice for family travelers. The room included a convection oven, kitchen sink and refrigerator. Snack bar was reasonably priced and the location was great. Indoor parking with entrances directly into the hotel.”

  nice amenities.
• Noise level.

“The hotel has a great pool area and easy access ot the beach. The fitness center is okay at best, but other then that and the noise level, I was very pleased with the hotel. Staff is excellent and the facility was very nice. Parking on site too.”

• Magnolia's restaurant was great! The food was fresh and wait staff was friendly!

“I traveled with my elderly dad and we had a great stay! We both had an ocean front room on the 8th floor. The hotel staff was friendly and everyone I encountered was helpful.”
