• Right off the I-84.
• Lots of kids and indoor water park.

“Hotel was very clean, the rooms were comfortable and was very convenient to I-84. Water park was on property, so the kids were everywhere. We would stay there again.”

• As a traveler, I like the full service bar and ability to get prepared food there.
• I've stayed at this hotel before and can tell the quality of the rooms is deteriorating. May not stay there if hotel continues to decline.

• It's convenient to the highway.
• The guests are very loud; lots of unruly kids.

• None.
• The room is dirty and old. Not safe. No fridge in room.

“The lobby and restaurant seem to be nice. But the hotel room is old and dirty (maybe in the same level as some motels). Since you won't get free water park ticket, I would suggest you stay in other hotel. The water park and hotel share the same entrance and parking area. I arrived the hotel around late evening and was harassed by some men in the parking lot. And there was no security there.”

• It was recently renovated.
• The hotel's cable TV was very poor; fuzzy picture, no guide, only analog cable. Very archaic.

“The hotel was ok. It presented well because it was just renovated, but the staff leaves something to be desired. The front desk was openly complaining about the phone ringing upon arrival. The restaurant staff was full of reasons why service was poor; only 1 cook on duty, etc. But, the manager was definitely helpful, professional, and apologetic.”

• The room was large and spacious and very clean.
• The inside of the shower was old it didn't match the room I was very surprised.

“I was happy with everything except the shower I'm not sure how a room could be clean and the inside of the shower was very ratty.”

• Enjoyed the pool and lobby is pretty.
• Found a bunch of hairs in my bed.

“When I arrived the front desk person wasn't very nice. Found a bunch of long black hairs in my bed under the sheets. The service at the restaurant was horrible but the food was awesome. Loved the pool area and hope to visit the water park with my grandchildren.”

• Little attention to cleanliness of public spaces/bathrooms.

“A tired, worn Holiday Inn badly in need of the renovation currently in progress. Room door an antique and hardly closed, HVAC unit from pre-flood days and poorly served up AC (occasionally heated the room); exercise room a complete mess.”

• Conveniently located for our trip.
• The indoor pool was not heated well.

“Overall very happy with the hotel the staff was very friendly and our room was very nice. The restaurant although short staffed when we dined was very nice and very reasonable.”

• Room overlooked a lobby area and could hear the noise from the bar until very late.

“Perhaps it was due to construction but the entrance from the road as well as the parking lot was pitch black - no lights - not very safe for a business traveler arriving late in the evening or anytime after dark. Also my room overlooked an inside lobby area from where I could hear the noise from the bar until very late and when I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning they didn't seem to care.”

• The friendly staff, hot tub, flat screen TV, fitness room, restaurant in hotel.
• Nothing.

“We came for a weekend escape and was pleasantly surprised. Although the hotel is undergoing renovations. The staff was very hospitable. Looking forward to a return visit.”

• Check in was easy.
• Housekeeping ignores do not disturb and runs cleaning equipment before 9am!

“This hotel is in an awkward location and is basically under construction. The rooms are standard, but the housekeeping staff ignores do not disturb and woke me up at 8am, started running floor cleaning equipment outside my door immediately and were yelling at each other down the halls before 10am. C'mon can't you let a weary traveler rest?”

• The room was nice.
• There was several large parties that kept us up to 3am.

“This hotel had several large parties going on during the 2 days we stayed. Both nights we made repeated calls to the front desk because large numbers of people were drinking, smoking and partying until 3am. The hotel desk tried to tell us there was nothing they could do and suggested that we should stop calling.”

• Close to the amusement parks we visited.
• Under construction - building water park.

“We were upgraded to a king room at no extra charge when ours was not ready yet. The Holiday Inn is building a water park, so the parking lot is torn up, somewhat inconvenient right now. Close to both 6 Flags New England and Lake Compounce Amusement parks - great to visit!”
