• Clean & right off the hwy.

“Very clean, nice for a night stay. Not the Ritz. Breakfast is just bagels, waffles, toast etc. Just something to get you by until lunch.”

• I loved the convenience to the whole area, the condition of the hotel and its warm and generous staff.
• Although the weather conditions were unusually stormy and the air was humid (hence the rugs could not dry out) I can not say anything negative.

“The room was pleasantly appointed and my view of Mobile Bay was wonderful. The staff was friendly, warm and helpful.”

• The staff was very friendly and polite. Everything was very clean.
• Some of the cleaning agents were very perfumey. We prefer just clean smells.

• The courtesy and friendliness of the staff.
• The bumpy entrance uphill to the hotel.

“I was only at the hotel for one night so it is hard to make further comments. However, I was very pleased with the continental breakfast which was included in the rate.”

• The new beds are fantastic.
• Some of the staff was very rude.

“I would have given this hotel a higher rating if it had not been for one of the staff being very rude in the dining area. I feel this hotel is a good choice for the money and the front desk staff was Very friendly and helpful.”

• Very friendly staff.
• The room was very humid. It felt almost wet with the ac on.

“Overall nice hotel and it is fairly new so I expected as much. Weird thing was the ac made the room feel wet. Allot of condensation no matter what temperature it was set on. This was not a reason not to stay there again. It will be my first choice next time I'm in the area.”

• It was very clean.
• Awful management.

“We had a good time at the hotel; the only problem was our room was not ready for use at the promised 3 pm time. Also, they made no attempt to help to get us into a room and made no real apology or compensation for the problem. We felt that we were overlooked because first, we are younger and second, our event, a wedding, was viewed as less important than other guests.”

• Convenient to i-10, good bargain, friendly staff.
• Not as clean as expected.

“This hotel is worth the money you'll pay for it. though a low price means you'll sacrifice a few of the perks of other hotels. the staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. the room was not as clean as we would have liked.”

• Clean room for a reasonable price.
• No low-carb options on the continental breakfast.

“If you're just looking for a place to sleep that is clean, this hotel fits the bill. Cleanliness is the most important thing to me when choosing a hotel. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Room was very small, but adequate. The continental breakfast doesn't offer any low-carb options, only cereal, bagels & oatmeal. Some fruit or yogurt would have been nice. This was my first experience staying at a Microtel, and I would recommend it to others.”

• Convenient location, all other area hotels were booked.
• Empty pizza container and mouse droppings in room on floor.

“The room was extremely foul. When checking into a room the trash in the room should be empty, but there was an empty pizza box in the trash. Also, mouse droppings on the floor near the bed. I checked out of the hotel immediately.”
