• Getting away from it.
• Felt insecure, dirty, unsafe.

“We have considered reporting the condition of the two rooms to the public health authorities in the area. The swimming pool looked like an above ground cesspool. We have also have considered reporting the motel to Limestone County Fire Marshall because of the smoke detectors being disabled. One was covered with a plastic bag the other was dangling from the ceiling. The one star I gave the motel is alot better than it deserved. Recently my daughter saw a TV report where a camera had be located in an air vent in a hotel bathroom. The vent cover in her room was dangling from the ceiling giving her the impression that someone was doing the same.”

• Dirty linens and very poor housekeeping internally to rooms.

• There are no positives, other than the fact that the TV worked.
• Everything else.

“The worst! dirty, shabby rooms, rude and uncooperative staff, threadbare linens, loud air conditioner with missing knob. I only gave it the worst! I only gave it a one because zero was not available. Rude, uncooperative staff, deceptive pricing, badly patched carpet, noisy air conditioner with missing knob, shabby room and linens, dirty bathroom. We have been going to Athens for 22 years for fiddlers convention and this is the worst experience we have ever had. One of the towels in the bathroom was stamped with Vanderbilt medical center. So I guess they bought it used when it was too ragged to be used in the hospital! I would advise all travelers to avoid this motel. A nice clean tent would be preferable to staying in this dump.”
