“The hotel common area was very nice, but that is about it. Toilet clogged daily. Room cleaning poor until last day. Some of the desk people were smart-alecky. Service was non-existent. They gave USA Today to the regular room people, but not to us. I will not stay in this hotel again.”

“Shuttle bus service was very convenient and ran often. The only thing we did not like is the bedding. The comforter was not even half an inch thick. There were no extra blankets in the room; blanket was thin. I expect much more out of a hotel these days. Especially a hotel in ski country should have a nice, thick duvet.”

“Nice, middle of the road hotel. Not a bad location if you don't mind taking a shuttle van to ski. Very nice staff, but there was only one restaurant open at night, and it was sushi, not what I want to eat all the time. Lobby was very comfortable with large leather sofas and a huge gas fireplace. I'd try to stay closer to the mountain and pay up a little more for better amenities next time, but it wasn't horrible. I guess you get what you pay for!”

“The hotel itself is classy from the lobby to the rooms to the hot tub/sauna area. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Shuttle service was convenient from the hotel in West Vail to the ski slopes, but it was just as easy to drive and park near the village for dining/shopping.”

“My experience was better than I expected. I had mediocre expectations and they were exceeded. I needed something clean, easy to get to and reasonably priced. All of my criteria were met in my one night stay before moving to my next destination.”

“Location close to grocery and restaurants, also shuttle bus stop nearby to go to downtown Vail area. Spa was outstanding, but they told us it was closing down. Great sushi bar and our favorite breakfast place right at the hotel. Free internet usage. Pool was a bit murky, and hot tub indoors, but clean.”

“This hotel is not conveniently located to Vail Village or Lionshead. Although the description states it was remodeled in 2004, it is in dire need of renovation again. Our room was very tiny, but in better shape than the rest of the hotel. A common complaint that I have for most hotels is that you cannot use the hot tub/pool area except 10 am-9pm. I understand the purpose of the rule if located close to rooms. However, at this hotel the pool/hut tub area is quite separated from the rooms and the hot tub is inside. My husband and I took an early morning jog during our stay and greatly anticipated coming back to the hot tub just to learn that it didn't open until 10 am. Waiting until then would have interrupted our day time activities.”

“We arrived, my wife and I and were presented a separate legal document which described the consequences of violating a list of things we were not intending to do like sneaking in pets and more that 4 people per room or trashing the room. They wanted me to authorize them to charge my credit card at their pleasure for anything on the list I had violated. I felt like I was checking into a prison as an inmate not a guest at a hotel. I declined to sign this document and that got a conversation with the twenty-something manager who was in way over her head. I signed 1 paragraph and we called it a compromise.”

“This is a very nice but not luxurious hotel with a great, friendly staff. The fresh brewed free coffee machine 24 hours is a real bonus.”
