• Hot breakfast.
• The staff were unwilling to work with us when we wanted to upgrade our room once we arrived even though there were rooms available.

“We were very dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel. When we checked in we tried to upgrade our room to a nonsmoking room and the hotel staff would not work with us in the slightest. We were willing to pay for the upgrade and were informed that even though there were rooms available, they could not change our reservations in any capacity. I have never been treated in such a dissatisfying way. I was also shocked when this hotel charged my credit card again. It's a good thing that I pay close attention to my statements!”

• Breakfast buffet.
• Not secure, smelled like smoke.

“We were put in a smoking room and I suffered with allergies the entire trip. The secure back door was propped open with a rock because key cards wouldn't work. Every time I used my key card, I had to go back to the front office to have them scan it so it would work again. Awful experience!”

“My overall experience was great. The staff was friendly and the beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was clean and there was a good variety for the continental breakfast.”

• Hotel was very clean, morning buffet food was good, and staff was friendly.
• At 2:00 am people were having an hour long talk in the hall. Did not know if it was staff or guests.

“Was very surprised at how clean the rooms were. Hotel staff front desk was friendly, and gave directions to where we wanted to go. It was a plus the home made cookies in the lobby and the free newspapers. I would stay here again without a doubt.”

• Willingness to change to a non smoking when possible, but one bad night.

“Clean and convenient. Great breakfasts. Everyone who wants an odoriferous unhealthy room should be able to such; the rest of us who expect to breathe healthy air certainly should not stay into a smoking room.”

• Bigger coffee cups in breakfast area, that's about it.
• Rude front desk, will never stay there again.

“Check in ok. Room, ok, little worn. Check out was horrible. She was rude, nasty, and no help. We have family that lives there, we made sure they knew, and will tell everyone that comes there not` to stay at that hotel. Front desk clerk shouldn't be in management, probably shouldn't deal with the public.”

• The rooms were clean and close to the rafting companies.
• No hot breakfast.

“If you are going to stay in Salida, this is the nicest hotel in Salida. We stayed in Salida because it was close to the place we went rafting. However, I would not stay in Salida again, there is nothing to do, and we only found one decent place to eat in the town.”

• No business lounge or computer with internet.
