  • Very clean & friendly.
  • The pool water was to hot and the AC was to noisy.

“The hotel location was perfect for my vacation plans. The AC units was were very noise making difficult to sleep, the pool had fountain cooling option however not used, the pool water was very warm.”

  • Amazingly comfortable bed! with fluffy, luxurious pillows! best bed ever in a hotel!
  • The pool was loud with music and emcees for Memorial Day weekend. We wanted quiet time at the pool.

“Excellent! We loved our stay. The luxurious bed and pillows, alone, were worth the price! I miss that bed! Excellent staff, customer service, food, grounds. Great place! I will stay there again.”

  • Spectacular service.
  • Some issues with air conditioner compressor noise.

“The Wigwam is a unique resort with the feel of a resort from a prior era. The staff and service are exceptional - nearly all employees had a smile on their face and seemed truly happy. All of our concerns were met rapidly and were resolved (rare for any hotel). The rooms were large and the grounds were spacious with many features.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[4]

  • Service was good.
  • Old, rooms smell like old smoke, rained and ceiling vent leaked, food very average, not remotely a 4 star hotel.

“I would not recommend. Definitely not a 4-star hotel. I have also seen it rated other places as a 5-star. Anyone who rated it that must've been smoking crack to give that rating! Pass on this one, unless you're looking for large rooms on a budget.”

  • Wonderful poolside service!
  • Construction around hotel and huge paint spot on floor in room.

“Very nice hotel, great poolside service! Located near restaurants, shopping, and golf. Construction around hotel, hard to find at first.”

  • Loved being on the golf course and parking just outside my room.
  • Prices for food and drink (at the poor, primarily).

“Loved it. Service was very good; the room was nice and well stocked with good mini bar stuff, and bathroom stuff. I'd go back.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • The pool area was very nice,
  • Some of the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly.

“This hotel has the potential to be very nice, but they have some issues to work out--when we arrived there were dirty room service dishes from the previous occupant on the front door step, the in room coffee maker did not work and the new coffee maker they sent up had a Nasty, old used coffee filter stuffed inside it--gross, and after complaining and having the front office agreed to send coffee from room service and waiting 40 mines, a call to room service revealed that the front desk never discussed the issue with room service.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • Huge heated pool, Jacuzzi, down comforters, private patio, spa services, friendly staff, cafe on site, all was fabulous!
  • Neighbor's room service food was left out all day. Full roach motel was visible from the desk in room.

“The grounds are lovely, the staff very welcoming from the moment you arrive. Our upstairs room had a private patio overlooking one of two deluxe heated pools with large Jacuzzi. We loved the red door spa, relaxing and beautifully designed. We wandered the grounds and loved the nice touches, playground sets, swing, just wished we'd had time for some golf. We will definitely be back in the future!”

  • Beautiful, historic, large rooms and walk-in closet.
  • Parking was scarce, cable TV channel selection, internet charge.

“The resort is beautiful and the service is excellent. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and each room had a small patio attached where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. The double sinks in the bathroom and large walk-in closet were very nice since we stayed for over a week. The problems were parking was scarce if you were there on a busy weekend and the cable TV channel selection was very slim. Additionally, they charge for internet access.”

  • Beautiful grounds.
  • The horrible staff made the trip a flop.

“I recently stayed at this resort on my honeymoon and I have to say that the staff there is very incompetent and did not listen to me when a situation with billing arose. I pre-paid for my trip through a travel agency and the staff at the Wigwam charged me for 2 nights anyway. When I checked in, they had me down as leaving 2 days earlier than my actual planned departure date. I told them that I had documentation that the vacation was prepaid, but they assured me that everything was taken care of and that I would check out at my planned time. Well they definitely "took care" of me alright. They charged me for 2 additional nights! I went to clear this up when I checked out and they assured me that everything was O.K. and that my card would not be charged wrong. The incompetent staff again failed to deliver what they promised! I came home to find a charge on my credit card. Now after 3 weeks of contacting them on the phone and, of course, more promises, I still haven't gotten a refund of my money!!! Watch Out for this resort.”
