“The night I checked in I was put in the room connected to the boiler room, I asked to move and was put in a quiet yet dirty room. There were stains on the bed skirt and ceiling and someone else's food was in the mini-fridge. After staying in this hotel for 5 days I returned to find my room stinking like cigarettes. I complained to the manager who tried to make lame excuses rather than fix the problem. I had to hunt down housekeeping myself to get clean linen for my room and I had to change the bed myself. I was finally offered a de-ionizer to purify the air but they never brought it to the room. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.”

“The Millennium Hotel is close to the airport. Could use some updating to carpets, decor, room fabrics.”

“The hotel is nice and, in my opinion, ranks 2.5 stars. The room is comfortable, but the beds were only full sized and I was told that the hotel had no king sized beds and I was not offered a queen sized when I asked for a larger bed. I was glad that I requested the top floor as the windows in the rooms in any of first three floors in the part of the hotel where I was located looked directly at the next hotel, about six feet away. The hallways were always about 80 degrees so I kept the heat off in my room. That was good because in order to have heat one had to have a noisy fan running all the time. I have stayed at all three hotels and the Marriott and Sheraton are considerably nicer than the Millennium.”

“Close to airport so good for travelers, for everyone else it's far away from everything. Rooms ok, but you can tell they put all their money into the lobby, dining and bar areas. Flat like an airport concourse, for the amt. of walking to get to the room. Exercise room so-so.”

“The lobby and outside appearance are nice. The hall ways as you travel away from the lobby get horrendous. Carpets and walls dirty and show lots of abuse. The rooms are nothing to brag about. Very low scale. The pillows were nice. Furniture not appealing. The walls were not attractive along with the flooring. Room fan was obnoxious. Bathroom was just done plain cheap. The tub surround was coming off the wall. Water pressure was very poor and we did not have hot water after the first day. They said an engineer would come to look at it. Apparently that is all that happened.”

“It seemed clean and nice, but both I and my boyfriend woke up the next day sick. Also woke up with an infection on my nose. It could have been something else That we both came into contact with the prior day, but not likely.”

“Although the Millennium holds the distinction of being the historic headquarters for the Iditarod Dog Sled Race and boasted numerous impressive items in its lobby that is where it stopped. Once in the room, I had fewer amenities available to me than in a typical low budget room. What would generally be considered standard in a 3 star hotel was something you had the joy of paying for with or without your knowledge. All in all I was disappointed with this stay, despite the impressive lobby and courteous staff.”

“This hotel has easy access to airport, dinning and to local shopping but it is showing its age and the bed quality was not the best. For a 3 star rating, I have stayed in two stars with much better quality.”

“I am an Alaskan who travels to Anchorage regularly with my family. We have stayed in many of Anchorage's hotels and the Millenium was one of the nicest. It is very convenient to the airport and much of the city. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and all of them are non-smoking.”
