  • Clean and spacious.

“I barely slept. there were people walking, rather stomping and whooping outside till 3am. any walking on the stairs, shook the walls, literally. the fans clicked. I saw a few bugs crawling in the bathtub. It can house up to 8 people: 4 twin beds: however, there are two bathrooms. each one has 1 fluid ounce of shampoo: not enough. you can hear each airplane fly by with such fidelity, that an expert could tell you which type of aircraft it is. There was no wireless internet only some slow wired internet two ports, one in each room. but they only give you one short cable. I will never return.”

  • 2 bra, 2 bath suites, comfortable living space.
  • Beds were too soft, rooms could have been cleaner.

“Convenient location with comfortable accommodations. Good exercise facilities.”

  • Unique rooms, facility layout, nice surroundings, quiet, nice amenities.
  • Rooms were clean but are in need of updated furniture, color schemes, etc.

“Very nice facility and grounds with plenty of amenities and nice touches. Rooms are like small apartments with full kitchen, balconies, ceiling fans. Very nice but somewhat tight for more than 2 people. Only one bathroom, small vanity. Mail lobby facility, pool, fitness ctr, ponds were all great. Some airport noise. Overall very good value.”

  • Very spacious, great workspace for business traveler.
  • Restaurant service was poor.

“This hotels gives you a fully equipped apartment. It is spacious, with great workspaces and free high-speed internet. I did not check out the health club or pool, but the hotel does have them. Also, each apartment has a small balcony, which could have nice views depending on which side of your building you are on.”

“This place looks more like a country club than a hotel (or the traditional national-chain extended stay units), as I pulled up to the Mainsail Suites Hotel in Tampa, on Eisenhower Blvd. It's perhaps a long fly ball away (hit by a steroid-using batter, perhaps) from Tampa's airport. I arrived before noon, after trying to waste time since I had arrived at 9:30am. The front entrance looks more like a country club, and grounds keepers were busy outside, doing general maintenance on the road. Opening the door to the front desk area, an employee was busy, scrubbing what looked like a tan slate-like floor. The desk clerk didn't even flinch when I asked if I could check in early, just after 11am - "Your room is ready," he said, instructing me to enter the gated area and head for the 300-series buildings. The place is better than I expected. A lived-in look with shrubs and trees providing a wealth of shade for sunny days, I drove past 2 cranes that searched for fish in the ponds beside the road. Opening my car, I saw a poor small dead frog. My place was on the third floor, and I do regret my request, even when I was warned that there are no elevators for the units. They look more like condominiums, and you should think along that line since you may see a tied bag of trash at the front entrance to a unit. This is made for extended stay residents, but what a great find for a short stay. Lugging my equipment to the third floor, I loved the view of my room. A square table set, with settings for two (including wine glasses and cloth napkins), and there was also a small living area (with sofa bed, TV and 2 big chairs), a small balcony with table and 2 chairs, a full kitchen complete with dish washer, dishes, pots and pans. I suddenly thought about actually baking a cake and cooking some lobster, which I still may do. There's even a toaster and electric can opener, and there were 4 coffee bags for me. A room beyond the kitchen revealed a utility room, where a long-term stay person can have a washer and dryer installed. A short walk to a nice-sized bathroom (not at all dinky, like some other places I've stayed), a room that is only for the hot water heater, and a decent-sized bedroom, with wired Ethernet (they also had a strong-signal wireless connection as an option). Queen bed with 4 pillows and the standard weird-colored cover. Another big chair, 4-foot-long desk with small chair and outlet (and there are a nice number of those in the rooms), and a walk in closet (?!!), a first that I've ever had at any hotel. And, digital thermostat and room fans above the bed and in the living room. The carpet had some dark stains in the corner near the walk-in, which is about the size of the bathroom! That walk-in is incredibly big and has shelving for hanging a ton of clothing along all 3 walls, including shelves for shoes. someone with a large wardrobe would die for this closet space. You get your OWN phone number which doesn't go through an operator; two televisions in my unit; mirrors in the bedroom, walk-in (full-length), and dining room; more outlets than I have in my own home; what appears to be another Ethernet outlet in the living room; and nice views except a big dumpster sitting in the parking area (but it's a covered type); a ton of cable TV with a placard cheat sheet including golf, cartoon, oxygen... movieplex, and a lot of local stations; and a couple fake green plants to give you an added depth of imitation warmth. Mainsail is the BEST value and bang for my buck that I have ever had. And I am not affiliated with any hotel and not paid to write this. For less than a hundred bucks? I asked them how they can make money. Please have this hotel chain in every NFL town, I'd stay at Mainsail instead of the regular chains.”

“This place is a converted apartment complex. Not even close. They have nice facilities; but, it is more along the lines of a Residence Inn ”

  • Very spacious with a full kitchen.
  • A member of housekeeping walked in on my partner and I.

“Excellent hotel and value! It had a full kitchen, bedroom, living room, and large bathroom. It was more like a condo complex than a hotel. Very quiet. The location of the room wasn't ideal (bottom floor under a stairwell near housekeeping station), but once you entered the room it didn't make a difference.”

  • The grounds were beautiful. Apartment style suites.
  • I could hear footsteps and conversation from apt. suite above.

“This hotel is in a nice location though I think it is not worth the price I paid. I could hear the noise from the suite above and the sheets on the bed were not high quality causing me to feel itchy all night.”

  • Apartment Style Rooms, Gated Community.
  • Located off a one-way street. Needed good directions to easily find.

“Our stay was great except for the check-in process. The key to the room we were given did not open the door. They promptly sent someone out to let us into the room. However, the room was a one bedroom instead of the two bedroom that we had reserved. We had to carry all of are bags back down to the car and go back to the office and get another room assignment. Although, this was a quick and simple process the desk clerk did not even apologize for the mistake or the inconvenience”

  • The accommodation for the price was an excellent value.
  • Room location, below a rowdy bunch no fault of hotel guest related.

“The hotel was located in a area that made everything easily available. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable.”

  • For the price and with 3 kids, the space is wonderful.
  • On the first floor, there is little sound barrier for guest walking above you. Also, there are no convenient restaurants in the immediate area.

“Stayed for two nights, check in and out was easy. Check in time is a little late, 4 pm. The space for a family with small children was perfect. The suite was clean as well as the common areas. Overall we would use Mainsail again on our next trip.”
