  • The room was quiet.
  • Weird location (residential neighborhood), smelled bad, non attractive environment.

“After staying at a beautiful room the night before (Hilton Gardens San Francisco), this hotel was a disappointment. The location was weird, the room smelled bad and the accommodations were modest in comparison.”

  • Nice complimentary breakfast.
  • Very modest. TV didn't work.

“Older motel property close to the freeway in Silicon Valley. Modest rooms with some remodeling. Families will like the pool. TV did not work. Nice complimentary breakfast in the morning.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[1] • Location:[4]

  • I did not get assaulted and my car was not damaged.
  • Fabulous security system, those sticks in the window tracks!

“Window locks broken, holes in walls, carpet only vacuumed in the middle of the room, TV signal faded in and out all night, man at front desk not helpful or friendly. How dare you rate this a 3 star hotel. Fairly clean, not worth the $ I spent at all.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Breakfast area nice. Pool area nice. Laundry facility fine. WiFi worked fine.
  • Ran out of breakfast early and didn't provide more.

“It's fine for business travel. Right next to gas station and 101 near Downtown mountain view. One could hear neighbors a bit more than one would like, the a/c was very noisy and couldn't be turned off readily. A/c is just behind the desk so it's a minor nuisance for conference calls.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[4] • Location:[2]

  • Right off 101.
  • No way this hotel was a 2.5 star.

“If you're looking for expensive accommodations in a sketchy part or Mountain view - this is the place for you. This place is on par with hotel 6 or a Travelodge at best. Old, needs to be updated for the price or alleged star rating. Doors on the outside, no chains or door bars, big gaps under doors, obvious water damage, broken window locks and just generally smelled bad.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[5] • Location:[5]

  • Availability of complimentary breakfast.
  • Too far from the family I was visiting.

“The room was clean and comfortable; staff courteous; complimentary breakfast was good and served in a bright, sunny room.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[8] • Location:[6]

  • Close to my customer.
  • Very old items in room.

“The hotel was close to my customer but definitely needs the rooms to be updated. The clock radio was from the 80's and the hairdryer looked like a vacuum cleaner! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[2] • Location:[3]

  • Ample Parking.
  • Dirty, Needing Repair, Ancient.

“It desperately needs paint, carpet, and a serious cleaning. The fixtures and furnishings are from a budget hotel 30 years ago.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[5]

  • Free though small, breakfast.
  • The owner.

“The manager actually fired the receptionist because he thought she was not customer friendly to me. Clearly he was mistaken since she was absolutely wonderful. When I confronted the owner he actually seemed not to care and wouldn't own up to his mistake. Poor handling and mistreatment of employees. I hope the girl sues him for wrongful termination. I will not stay here again.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[3]

  • Free wireless internet and breakfast.
  • Toiletries were not satisfactory.

“Hotel does not appear safe from the outside. No security at night, which was a problem for me as a single traveler. I was unaware that the hotel had doors that opened to the outside. Again an issue of safety. My toiletry basket was not replenished and I had half-used shampoo in my room. Otherwise, the bed was fairly comfortable and the room was clean. Wireless internet was appreciated.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Location.
  • It was old, smelly, and not very clean.

“If you are into vintage hotels then this is your place. It hasn't been redecorated or seemingly cleaned since 1970, so you get that exact same experience a traveler of 40 years ago would have gotten. The location is great, right off the expressway, but this is a hotel that passed its prime 20 years ago and should have closed 10 years ago.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[4] • Location:[7]

  • It was close to the freeway and fairly close to my visited destination of Stanford.
  • Appearance was lacking and a dingy light fixture hung dimly from ceiling.

“This hotel did not satisfy my request for 2.5 stars. The hotel is convenient in location and not very noisy even though by the freeway. Towels and bed linen were poor as well.”

  • Did not stay here they over sold the rooms and did not have a room for me.
  • They did not have a room available for me they told me that they were over sold by 5 rooms.

“I did not stay here they oversold the room and did not have a room for me. I want credit for this or a refund back to my credit card. I reported this last Wednesday, and was told by customer service I would hear something back with 2 days. As of today it has been 4 days and have not heard back.”

  • Nothing.

“County inn in mountain view was dingy, dark and outdated. The room smelled musty, moldy, and old. The bedding was paper thin. The lights didn't work.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[4] • Location:[3]

  • It was inexpensive.
  • Far from my desired location, decor and amenities suffered.

“This hotel is close to the 101, so if you're looking to get out and on the road quickly, this is a decent spot to stay. The rooms are out of the 1960s and the shades don't close all the way, but it is affordable.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Clean quiet, friendly front desk, good continental breakfast; free broadband Internet.
  • No power plugs close to desk/Internet wire. No elevator, though we got ground level room.

“This is a small, clean, no-frills hotel located in a quiet area off Moffet Blvd, a border between residential and commercial areas and next to a gas station. Very close to Hwy 85, pretty close to Hwy 101, and 4 minute drive to downtown Mountain View. Area seems safe, though neighborhood seems a little dark at night (maybe because it borders residential). We stayed two nights. Front desk was friendly; room was clean though a little small for family of 3. Good continental breakfast. Free broadband Internet, though no available power plugs by desk. No frills but I'd definitely stay there again.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[3] • Location:[1]

  • Inner courtyard/pool area looked okay from a distance.
  • Entrance to rooms is from outside in a bad area.

“This hotel is very hard to find - it is tucked back on a side street with little visibility. There is a scary looking bar across the street and an abandoned Dennys next door. All the room doors face outside in a very sketchy neighborhood. Would recommend (especially woman travelers) to avoid this hotel as it appears to be unsafe. Note: they did leave a nice sample tube of blackhead remover in the soap/shampoo basket.”

“Very disappointing. It is not even close to a 2 star hotel.”
