  • Golf course right next to the hotel.
  • The noise next to the highway.

“This hotel is ideal to relax and golf. I was very pleased with the ambiance of the hotel and the rooms and the service was very very good.”

  • The hotel has many buildings, all nestled in among large trees and beautiful grounds.
  • The fitness room was adequate, but could have been more extensive.

“Great property, great location with a very friendly and helpful staff!”

  • Fantastic restaurant TusCA, don't miss the chance to eat here!
  • Soundproofing between rooms could be better.

“Very clean and
modern rooms. Lovely staff. Less than ten minutes from Fisherman's Wharf / Cannery Row commercial and tourist center but a much more peaceful environment on a small hill surrounded by green gold course is the hotel's backyard. It was a chilly night but the outdoor pool was heated, and several people seemed quite happy to be there, wrapped in their Hyatt bathrobes, or using the hot tub. The dinner at Tosca was excellent in every way: food, ambiance, service. Loved the fire pit gazebo.”

  • I loved having access to a modern fitness center and the use of the spa for no extra cost.
  • I was not informed that I would be charged for parking when I checked in. I was informed at check out, so it was a bit of a surprise.

“The rooms are lovely as is the view of the golf course if you are able to stay in a room with a view. If you enjoy working out while on vacation, the fitness center has up to date equipment and is open 24 hours. The use of the steam and dry saunas in the shower/dressing area of the spa is complimentary for hotel guests. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and happily took care of some of our special needs. We absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling for leisure in Monterey!”

  • Room was excellent.
  • Location was far from downtown for leisure travel and non-golfers, no in room coffee.

“The hotel is what you expect from an upscale hotel! The decor, bedding, and bathroom were excellent. The campus is huge and would be good for golfers or business travelers. While we enjoyed our stay, we would have liked to be closer to downtown to be able to walk around more.”

  • Helpful staff.
  • No
    AC in the rooms.

“The hotel had a nice lobby with live music on the weekends, and a coffee bar in the am with pastries. The continental breakfast was pricey as was coffee and pasties. Continental breakfast was 20 dollars, limited but good. Staff was very helpful and friendly and they went out of their way to be helpful. Public space out back was nice, fire in the evening, fireplace in lobby. Did not care much for the furniture-style of the Asian inspired rooms, but they were clean, no AC, made it a very stuffy room. Joe on duty was great, a wonderful staff member.”

  • The room was very nice and the maids were very helpful.
  • We had a power outage that night. A little strange, half of Monterey was out. They took off the resort tax for the ;inconvenience.

“Its a very nice hotel, just a little close to the freeway. I asked for a quiet room and the second room they gave us was much better than the first one. Very quiet.”

  • Hotel was upscale but not ostentatious and reflected the Northern Cal surroundings.
  • No complaints.

“Awesome location for getting around and right next to golf course. Enjoyed the walking around the hotel grounds. Rooms were recently remodeled as well as the rest of the hotel. Nice.”

  • The hotel was great. Everything was very clean and the room was very comfortable and large.
  • The pool was crowded and over run with children.

“Great hotel. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a romantic get away!”

  • Spread out; good location; concierge and staff helpful.
  • Too many kids ; didn't realize it was family oriented too.

“Clean, well located;,many choices in hotel rooms based on.”

  • Ability to print airline boarding pass in the lobby.
  • No air conditioning. Although normal for the area, an upscale hotel should have a/c.

“A very large resort, able to accommodate multiple affairs. Felt very impersonal, checked in using a self serve kiosk. Had to track down someone for directions to room.”

  • Beautiful grounds, easy access to highway, friendly staff, free parking.
  • Street side rooms can hear vehicles.

“This is a great hotel with convenient access to everything. Didn't have AC which can be difficult if you hit a hot spell and have to open windows. This can contribute to road noise if you have a street side room. Public carpets need a cleaning if not replacement altogether, and the only working soda machine was on the other side of the property. Staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant. Able to buy aquarium tics at desk and tried to land some free ones for us, to no avail, however. Also tried to get late dinner at 9:15pm but were told they couldn't accommodate as closing early. They are supposed to be open till 10pm. It was a Sunday night so I suppose they wanted to close early despite others in the restaurant still eating. No big deal if you are flexible. We didn't have kids but is family friendly, as well as great place for a couples (us). Would stay again for the right price.”

  • The shower was interesting.
  • The carpets were filthy. Ice maker did not work.

“We were celebrating our anniversary. We were given a room at the complete far end of the property of the hotel with 2 double beds. They were not even queen size beds. Saw many balconies around the property. We had no balcony and a view of some cars in a back parking lot.”

  • Very thin walls, fridge broken in room and leaked all over floor, and the
    TV was broken.

“If we had a room that was not next to a room full of rude partiers, a broken TV, a broken fridge that leaked all over the carpet, it would have been a wonderful trip.”

  • The decor and spaciousnes was superior.
  • These room are not sound proof at all, we could hear everything in rooms near us!

“The spa was so nice and the people working there. Everything was so up to date and clean. The pool was a ackward shape with no graphics making it hard to swim laps. Rooms need some sort of sound proofing, neighbors kepted us awake.”
