• Convenient, inexpensive, near many restaurants.
• Nothing, served purpose.

• Price and proximity to Auburn.
• Loud kids and loud foot steps.

“Very basic economy hotel. No frills. Lot's of kids were staying here and they were loud.”

• Worn out beds with stains and old sheets.

“We stayed at the merinos in LaGrange in April, 2007, and found the staff to be very friendly and courteous. However, the indoor pool was rather cold, and the hot tub is frequented by babies and small children in diapers. As for the rooms, they were clean and neat but worn-out looking. The box springs on each of the double beds (box springs were visible) seemed to be severely stained with what appeared to be blood and feces (?). Perhaps they were coffee stains, but they were quite noticeable and repulsive. Also, the linens are worn and knobby and not that comfortable. Lastly, the coffee for the complimentary breakfast downright wafted. But again, the staff was kind and accommodating.”

• Excellent indoor pool and hot tub facilities.
• Nothing.

“Although not a hotel that I was familiar with, the Amerihost made for a very pleasant stay. The staff were accommodating, the room was clean and neat and the pool and hot tub were a pleasant surprise.”

“It was a hotel that had about 60 rooms but was handled well. I liked my stay there because it was wireless so I could work my computer inside my room. I would recommend it to others.”

• They were working on the roof which was very distracting.
