“Nice for business travel, appealing courtyard and pool. The breakfast was minimal.”

“This hotel is fine for anyone just wanting a clean and safe place to sleep. It is convenient to various roadways. There is not too much ambiance, but I think the friendly and helpful staff make up for the lack of tasteful surroundings.”

“They had options like a nice pool, wireless was available in my room. I don't even find that in some of the larger hotels. Rooms were good size, but the beds were hard and small. The hotel is in need of repair (mostly noticed in the bathroom). It is old. Continental breakfast was o.k.”

“The lobby looks fine, but the room is terrible. If you just need someplace to stay overnight (check-in late, and check-out early), then it is an ok choice.”

“Basically clean, but pretty shabby. The rooms in the front of the hotel looked lovely from the outside, but the room entrances on the sides of the hotel looked like a military prison. Very depressing, and not at all romantic. You need a token--not just your room key--to use the ice machine. We were not advised of this at check-in, so we had to return to the lobby for a token before we could fill our ice bucket. When we requested a second token in case the need arose for more ice, our request was declined and we were told one token was all we could have for our stay.”

“This hotel used to be a Best Western. It looks like work has been done recently since becoming the Guest house The landscaping was nice in the courtyard around the pool. The pool was clean as was the room. An expanded continental breakfast was included in the price (waffles, cereal, Danish). A computer was available in the lobby with free Internet access. The hotel is not fancy but was comfortable.”

“The up side is relatively convenient for Universal Studios visitors, friendly staffs, close to highway and restaurants. The down side is some smell in the room. Also it would be better if the ice machine is inside the hotel. Overall I am satisfied with it with the price I paid.”

“For a non-smoking room, smelled like smoke. The condition of the room is semi- worn down. Hall ways are dingy. This hotel would rank in the single star category. The hotel is located in a seedy part of town.”

“My room was quite nice. The breakfast was convenient. The lobby had wireless Internet access, but not the rooms, so I had to frequent the lobby. I made use of the restaurant next door in their facilities. I did have problems accessing the roads, and finding the place since highway 118 and Sepulveda Blvd had a strange intersection - but that is Los Angeles.”

“The staff does not do a good job of taking care of hotel customers. We asked for a crib (the website says they will provide one) when we checked in around 5:00. They said they would send one right up. We had to ask 2 more times before we finally got one at 9:00 (after the baby fell asleep). They did not provide a sheet for the crib, so my husband took one off the bed and wrapped it around the mattress when he discovered that there was no bottom to the crib. If we had put the baby on the mattress, it would have fallen to the floor. We also asked for a fan because our room was uncomfortably hot. They said they would send one right up and we never received one. The beds don't have fitted sheets - they just use two flat sheets, so they don't stay on the mattress. We wanted to cool off in the pool, because the entire hotel was hot, but we didn't stay long because the pool was dirty. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - particularly if you are traveling with young children.”

“We were traveling and were afraid to take our luggage out and put it in the room while we were gone. Didn't seem like it was the safest part of town, or was it a two star hotel.”

“Nice pool area, with no spa, no exercise room. Breakfast is limited to sweet and unhealthy few items. Two story building with nice size rooms and no elevator. The rooms with double beds have queen size beds that are, comfortable for two people to share each bed. My overall experience is satisfactory.”

“There is no way I was staying there again. My trip there last month was so miserable I do not know where to begin. No cables offered for plug in internet. Enormous rooms, hard bed, thin sheets, prison soap, no privacy from the parking lot that is right outside the door. I had to spend an insane amount of time on the freeway to get to hotel. This hotel is barely in LA County, and very confusing to find!! The amount of money I spent on gas going from my meetings to the hotel could have fed a lot of starving children in Africa. Do not stay at this hotel. Every time I came in to the hotel at night they were unfriendly and stared at me. The security guard followed me to my door. It is your worst nightmare as a business traveler”

“Our family drove from Phoenix to Sacramento, w/ a stop at this hotel. The best thing about this hotel was the location. It was right off the freeway in the northern part of Los Angeles. The area right around the hotel was not the best, but we still felt safe. This was definitely a good hotel for the price we paid.”

“Clean, breakfast was more than expected with a waffle maker to make your own waffle. Balcony was a nice size though being in the front you could hear the street traffic. Good stay for the price.”
