“Hotel used on our West Coast trip as we wanted to be outside of LA and not to far to travel to the airport. The hotel was in good condition and the rooms excellent. Staff extremely helpful and organized our trips for us. Provided useful tips and brochures on where to eat.”

“This hotel is located near a mall and within a few minutes drive from both Venice and Santa Monica beaches. Safe, easy to get to location and friendly help make it a bargain and a nice place to stay.”

“Good rooms, public spaces and decor, everything worked. Antique television, but free Wi-Fi. It's a Marriott, and operated accordingly, which is to say very professionally. Nice pool and spa. Immediate surroundings are a bit of an issue.”

“Good old Courtyard Marriott hotel, construction around hotel, good for in and out. Short business stay. Easy check in.”

“Although I checked into the hotel, I didn't stay there one night. My son who was staying with me while my wife was in the hospital used the room until check out.”

“The common areas were nice, but the rooms were not. The shower was disgusting (old head, dingy everything), the AC unit was extremely noisy and smelled old, and the room just appeared a little run down. However, the staff was really nice, and the location was convenient to LAX.”

“Poor location (on busy cross streets, surrounded by metal fence). Thought breakfast was included like at other Courtyards, found out later it was not. When I mentioned that at front desk, apologized however did not offer to remove the one breakfast from the bill. Will not stay here again.”

“The hotel room smells horrendous. I understand fires are frequent in California, if this is the cause of the smell then why not invest in tile. Or even a very flat grass weave like carpet used in the Caribbean. The smell was overwhelmingly bad. The pillows saved the day since they were so over-the-top comfortable.”

“This would be a very nice hotel except for the two restaurants in front of the hotel being vacant and fenced in (Not the hotels fault though). The hotel itself was nice and clean. It is just a short walk from the marina and nice shopping and OPEN restaurants.”

“Although the hotel itself was quite acceptable, espcially with free parking, the location was poor. The food was good in the restaurant, the staff was friendly and accomodating, and the room was clean and comfortable.”

“The location is close to airport and highways but not within walking distance of any attractions. The hotel sign outside is worn out and main driveway is under construction which does not leave a good first impression. Lobby is OK looking, but elevators and hallways to guest room look quite dated and worn out. Rooms are small to medium size and are very dated and worn out. Beds are small and bathroom doesn't have any ventilation. TV is small and old box style with poor reception. Linens were old and towels were thin and hard. Most walls in the hotel room were bare except for a very outdated and pale looking picture above the beds. Our AC unit was broken and had to call twice before someone came and replaced it. There was construction on the floor above us and they shut off all of our water with no notice. I frequently stay at Marriotts and this was by far the worst experience I've had and the most out dated and worn out Marriott I've stayed at.”

“When you think Marina Del Ray you think lovely. This was as close to a down town construction site hotel as I have had to stay at in years. Very poor location and poor room quality, quiet.”

“Bed was in need of replacement. Springs popping thru room very small. Other things okay. Restaurant above average (breakfast).”

“About all that was good about this stay was that the room was clean and spacious. Otherwise, it was not that comfortable, and the noise from outside the hotel keeps one from getting a good night's sleep. Staff apologized for the bad noise, but it didn't seem genuine. You should worry when a hotel provides ear plugs along with shampoo and soap in the bathroom.”

“Great for business travel, exceptionally well located in Marina del Rey, very clean and very helpful staff. If my business has me traveling to California I would definitely consider this hotel. Priceline also got me a really good rate.”
