A little touch of luxury.
Ice machine on my floor was out of ice.

Rooms were spacious, modern and clean, staff was very helpful and courteous.
Beds were too firm, breakfast was only fair.

“We were very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. Very nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The beds were a little too firm for my taste and the breakfast was only average but did offer a variety of foods. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.”

Very Neat and well taken care of Hotel!
Parking was so-so.

The decor was up to date, the employees were very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful.
Nothing.

“We chose this location because we wanted to be away from the busy crowd but it was close enough to drive to the sights. This hotel is great. Better than expected. The decor is very pleasing and everything is so clean. The hotel staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very good-sausage, eggs, yogurt, waffles, juice, muffins. The shower was wonderful. The nights sleep was excellent-no noise at all. Mini fridge and microwave if you want to do your own meals. Very, very pleased. We will stay again.”

Clean and easy to find.
My room key did not work.

“Good clean hotel. Good location, close enough to local attractions but far enough away to keep things quiet. A great place to stay.”

I liked the ability to work out in the gym.
When asked for housekeeping to come and make the beds, well, nothing happened.

“I enjoyed staying at this hotel, and would recommend it to others. It was not far from the Monterey Attractions, and not far from local stores. I would definitely stay again.”

I liked the newness of the hotel. It was therefore cleaner than the older surrounding establishments.
The hot tub was freezing. No towels. Front desk was unfriendly when we arrived. When we called for extra towels, no one came and they made us get them.

“This hotel was fine for the lower rate we received. But if I were to pay the normal rate, I would have been outraged that the hot tub was broken, (and it's been broken since months ago based on other reviewers' comments!) And the unhelpful front desk. The breakfast includes weird rubbery flattened omelets with Nacho sauce. For an upscale hotel, that is just unacceptable.”

Location, ease of traffic, near ocean.
The furnishings were dated and beat up.

“I like the staff. The location is ok for my business. There aren't enough parking spaces on site during the weekend but it wasn't problem.”

Extremely friendly staff.
No pool.

“A good choice for "Monterey Jazz Festival" fans. The location is not far from the fairgrounds and is a very easy drive there. We liked the continental breakfasts in the morning.”
