• The room was very clean and pleasing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The pool area was too far away, you have to go through a gym that was opened to the public. I didn't like going through the whole gym area wet.

“It was great except the pool area. Too far and going through the public gym area with a bathing suit was not what I wanted to do.”

• It was clean and comfortable.

“Room was clean and comfortable. Location was easy to get to from freeway. Only disappointment was that breakfast began at 7am sun and we had to leave at 6:45am.”

• Big bed, couch and TV.
• Continental breakfast - sugar and starch.

“I missed the 5:30 to 6:30 complimentary beer, not arriving until 7. For business travelers in Chicago, it's a little hard to get through rush hour and checked in by 5:30 or 6. Suggest this gets moved to 6:30 to 7 or 7 to 8.”

• Really comfortable beds and pillows. Spacious rooms. Good continental breakfast.
• How far it was from downtown Chicago.

“Really enjoyed my stay. Slept better than I sleep at home. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and good for my back. Very clean. Felt very comfortable staying there. I would definitely stay at a holiday inn express again. I went above and beyond my expectations.”

• Their default decision is to place guests in smoking rooms when not specified

• Location not bad.
• Hotel staff rude and inattentive.

“The staff was extremely rude to me! The desk clerk argued with me over a shuttle pick up time. The shuttle time was POSTED at the front desk. I waited outside in freezing weather for over an hour and ended up paying for a cab to get back to the hotel. The desk clerk was unapologetic and RUDE RUDE!!!! He was just short of telling me I was stupid! I told him I would like a manager to call me in the morning. I told him to have a manager call me at 9am, and instead he gave me a 9am wake up call. No one ever called me! On top of this, the Pepsi machine ate my money and the ice machine did not work. Theses things would have been forgotten if the staff had not been so rude and unconcerned with EVERYTHING! I was mortified and I would NEVER stay or recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!!!”

• Nice staff, pleasant decor in the rooms, clean, synthetic pillows, comfy bed, good TV, high speed data ports, breakfast.
• Tile falling forward at tub base, slow sink drain, flower hall carpet. They tried to charge us again.

“I found the Holiday Inn Express to be a pleasant, clean hotel with a welcome dose of luxury at economical prices. ”

• It has a great gym and a very good KFC just down the road.
• Messy tables in the breakfast area.

“Over all, the hotel met all my needs. It has good access to the Interstate and it was priced very good. Again, the gym is a nice touch. I'd go back.”
